Exactly the same problem here. JDownloader continued to work flawlessly after my upgrade from 7 to 10, but after doing a clean install of 10 it doesn't work. I did manage to get JDownloader installed by right clicking on the setup file, choosing to troubleshoot compatibility, and then running the installer with recommended compatibility settings. Unfortunately, the second I try to update anything or install FFmpeg the download never gets to 10% and I eventually have no choice but to close JDownloader. Not even running JDownloader with Windows 7 compatibility settings works.

All problems seem to have vanished and Windows 10 is no longer identifying JDownloader as an incompatible program.
I started off with MSE for a short time before getting Avira free. This appears to have caused MSE to be switched off. I also have GlassWire. Between the two of them the only thing I had blocked was the Search and Cortana Application. Both are set to notify upon blocking anything. Only GlassWire mentions JDownloader but it has only said that network connections were initiated. I have GlassWire to monitor data usage more than anything else. |
