Question Download list empty after bluescreen

Hi,

after a bluescreen I restarted JDownloader2 and found my download list (NOT linkgrabber!) empty.

How can I recover that?
I can't imagine that this is intended by design.

Thanks in advance.

Is there downloadList.zip file in CFG subfolder?
If so, then JD2 should read it to get download list unless the zip file is damaged by the system crash. You may check the integrity of this file with Winzip, Winrar etc.
Each package is "described" by it's own file archieved in downloadList.zip (each file name has different number in its filename). Even with damaged zip the archieve tools can restore archieved files, so you may loose some packages but many of them mayb be restored).

If there's no downloadList.zip then there's still the chance to restore download packages but it will require some work...
JD2 saves the progress and packages information in downloadList.zip, but first it creates
this tmp file then when all the "new" data/progress is written - JD2 renames it to the final name (downloadList.zip). Maybe the system crash happened then and JD didn't managed to fully complete this process.
You may try to use some undelete tools (Recuva etc) to restore deleted downloadList.zip or downloadList.tmp - restore them to the other disk/partition (undelete tools shows the deletion time and chance of restoring the file) and then check their integrity before moving them back into CFG subfolder.

Yes it is, but it does only contain one very old package.
And I only have a downloadList.zip, no downloadList.tmp.

My download list contained this very old package (many weeks), some not so old packages (few weeks) and the recently added packages (few days).
The not so old and recent packages are gone.

This is quite strange, as I would have expected the not so old packages to be still there after a restart.

If it is very old, you can't recover your recently lost data.

Sounds reasonable, but the question rather is why there is only old old data (a few weeks) in this downloadList.zip file?
Why is there no data which is just a few days old?
How does it work at all?

The backup stuff isn't finished yet.
