Not sure what latest update was for, but youtube still not working for video. I do have all tick boxes checked for now to allow everything. Have links for txt, jpg and every kind of audio that links offer, but still no video of any kind.

@st54tr2: Please provide a log, see https://support.jdownloader.org/de/k...d-session-logs
Enable Debug mode, restart JDownloader, reproduce the issue and then create log and post logID here

So, took me a while to notice that Jdownloader, after a certain number of parsed videos, only link-grabs the 360p resolution version of the video now, regardless of what your settings are, and that it's recently gotten much worse at which point youtube cuts you off. I'm guessing Youtube doesn't even offer the HD link to the link parser, and I'm guessing this bug has already been known for a while, hasn't it. :(
Okay, switching downloaders is going to be a pain. Jdownloader is a very, VERY feature-rich tool, I'm gonna miss that. :( Are there even any youtube-specific downloaders that can compare to Jdownloader? Does anybody have any good suggestions? ...Actually, finding a decent alternative Youtube downloader and discussing their respective features should probably be its own seperate discussion thread, don't you think? So it doesn't get mixed with error reports and such. (I'm asking because last time I started a Youtube-related forum post it got merged in with this one, and that made sense. But this time I really think a separate discussion thread would be better and easier for overview, since it's something affecting many people. There would likely also be sub-discussions within such a thread, like feature-comparison between different tools and such. That way you can also refer people to that specific thread if you want to tell them to find a different download tool.) |

*LNG* has the same effect as *LNG[FULL]* despite what docs above say: I've expected EN, but got English (United States) instead. Could be this affected by *LNG[FULL]* used in "Filename for Subtitle files"? Last edited by goratnik; 13.07.2025 at 15:44. |

@Chicken++: This happens due to getting shadow banned. A simple restart of JDownloader might already help or trying with different IP/VPN and/or Account, depending on what exactly has been shadow banned. In that situation the api reports all videos as unavailable and JDownloader falls back to different method and that one only provides lowest quality.

@goratnik: No, but most likely implemented it that way when working on language selection. Will check it by next week.
