Default Jdownloader updates when started

Hello All,

I checked the forum and did see this problem reported before and tried what was recommended. Move JD from Program Files checked permissions.
Here's my problem:
Whenever I start JD, it will install an update. Sometimes it successful, most times it is not. The Install/Update balloon will pop up and I usually hit Cancel. JD will try to update on its own and sometimes I will allow it, thinking that it might be legit. Most times I have to cancel the update several times before JD opens. It usually hangs at some point and I have to hit the Cancel button. If I understood what the Developer mention in the other post, JD only updates when it needs to.

System specs:
XP SP3
Java 1.7.0_55
Oracle Corporation
SWT v4233, win32
Windows XP v5.1, x86
V5.3.0.0/4 az3

Antivirus software + version.- ESET Smart Security 6.0
Firewall software + version.- ESET Smart Security 6.0

JD:

Core #26211
Launcher #2404
AppWork Util #2096
Browser #26209
Updater #405

Copied from About window.
Note: You might want to think about allowing the user to copy info from About window, since this info could be useful in gathering info about JD. I had to manually copy it.

I'll subscribe to this thread to monitor any posts.

Thanks to all.

Seems that ESET blocks JD.
Example of how to avoid: http://jdownloader.org/knowledge/wik...security/nod32

Thanks for your input, Tony. After doing some research, I could not find a connection between my problem and the one you stated.
