In order to make things like reconnection work, cookies are only per link. There are no permanent cookies allowed, or users could be recognized, tracked, and other unwanted effects.

However, if you have a Premium account running, reconnection should be disabled. In that case, semi-permanent cookies might make sense for sites that JD does not support. I believe that is a rare situation (if it is close to a One Click File Host, and is not greatly difficult, the plugin is usually added upon request and available within a week).

For screening and image sites, a cookie might be useful for specifying the default size. Again, this is usually in the plugin or can be set in the URI.

Please explain why the stored cookies are necessary. For example, if a cookie is needed to avoid reCaptcha on fileserve Premium, that should be handled by the plugin.

I don't know what happened, but it is impossible to use FS premium account in JD recently. It disables the premium account automatically and I have to go to the settings and enable it manually. The problem is that even if I manage somehow to download one file, then JD disable the premium account again and ask for captcha like I wouldn't have premium account.

So frustrating. Any fix on this?

the problem is that sometimes the login process reports in first step premium user, the second step of login fails and redirects to signup page. seems a server issue. will wait what fileserve has to say

@Jiaz, thanks for your time and debug session through Teamviewer. I just noticed that Filesonic users report exactly the same symptoms. That would exclude Fileserve server issues to me at least.

@stiwi: then i need another teamviewer session
it can also be that your isp blocks those hosts or the hosts your isp.

You might be right that the problem is somehow related to host / block issue. But, if either my ISP or FS would be blocking the hosts, I wouldn't be able to download at all. While I am able to download using my premium account, if I keep checking the box in premium settings...

I can tell that when I set a US proxy in JD, that I am using for different than JD purposes, I was able to download without any issues though. But still I would not be so sure that it is host related issue, especially that whichever FS link I type in the browser, it works every time. Those problems also arose from one day to another and as I can see, they are not only related to Fileserve host.

@yijing & @boxedfish - where do you guys come from?

I am from Singapore.
