Default jD does not open firefox any more (linux)

I don't know exactly since when, but for a few days now, instead of opening firefox, jD shows the error message

ERROR
/home/johny111/http:/127.0.0.1:24613/captcha/recaptchav2/rapidgator.net/?id=123451234512345: No such file or directory

I can copy the URL
http:/127.0.0.1:24613/captcha/ercaptchav2/rapidgator.net/?id=123451234512345

and paste it into firefox manually, and the captcha plugin/page will load and will let me solve the captcha. JD is then able to start the download.

However this manual process is a bit annoying.

It is not specific to rapidgator.net.

Might this have to do with the missing / in the URL? Firefox will automatically correct it when i paste it into the addressbar, though.

Anyone has seen this behaviour? What to do to fix it?

I'd gladly provide a log id for this, but i'd prefer to review the log before sending it, is there way to do it?

Thanks

Hi,

please try this:
1. Re-set the browser of your choice as default browser in your system --> Then check if it's working fine again.
2. If 1. did not do the trick, manually define the path to your browser here:
Settings --> Advanced Settings --> Search for "browsercaptchasolver commandline"

It indeed is a Desktop environment issue.

xdg-open "**External links are only visible to Support Staff** shows exact the same error message.

It must be some issue that is introduced with a recent of xdg-open. There is fix hack, but it is dirty and does not work for me. Gonna change the DE for that virtual machine...

Thanks for pointing me into the right direction, would have thought its rather related to jD though
