Default How to get JD2 archive extractor to exclude specific file types?

Hi

Was wanting to know how to get the JD2 archive extractor to exclude specific file types from being extracted.

I know there is this area in the "archive extractor" area of the settings that says:
"Dont unpack files matching the following expressions (one per line)"

I want to exclude ".jpeg, .jpg, .org(site links)" from rar extraction. The instructions in the box are unclear...Tried doing what instructions said, and it didnt work...the unwanted files were still extracted.

Please type and show clearly what EXACTLY I need to put in each line in that box ("Dont unpack files matching the following expressions...")
to make sure ".jpeg, .jpg, etc" files are NOT extracted.

Thanks

What exactly is unclear about the instructions? Can you explain so we can improve them?
The following should work fine
Quote:
.*\.jpe?g
.*\.org

Thanks...its the "##" in the instructions confused me, didnt know what they meant...I added the ## before because I thought they needed to be included. I also didnt know the " \ " needed to be included either.

I will do what you showed to type and see what happens, and let you know.

Thanks

Update....The instructions u gave here were bang on, thanks; and didnt include the "##" like in the instructions.(Which confused me) I copied and pasted exactly what u showed, and it worked! The only thing I had to do was change the ".org" rule to ".url" because I saw the full extension was ".url" not ".org"

The extractor is now doing exactly what I wanted....Thanks again Jiaz!

@MrGonzo:

##Lines with ## are comments
I thought it would be clear enough that one has to remove the ##
But glad to know it works like expected. Thanks for the feedback!
