Not possible to disable 2-factor-auth. Looked through all settings on baidu. At least it doesn't ask for 2-factor each and every time you login, just when logging in for the first time using a different browser.

Well then it is impossible for us to test as we do not have a chinese phone number nor are we able to register new accounts because of that (?) and if the account is owned by another user he would have to be online at the same time we're trying to fix it ...

I've explained how to register with an oversees number on the previous page.
Use **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** for that, worked for me immediately. Just enter your email, follow the link inside the email and you'll have a bunch of numbers available to use.

If you still can't get it done I'll create a new account for you on baidu as well as a throwaway email and verify the account with it.

Sorry, just checked and it's become a bit more bothersome to register there after all. The smsservice doesn't seem to work that well anymore and gmail accounts cannot be registered anymore so I've created an account for you and sent you the details.

the risk for using a throw away numbers is that your usage on baidu becomes invalid as soon as someone else uses it and most likely all of you can't use it in a bit or forever

on the other hand, you don't need a Chinese number to register. just need a real number

For account problem, a log with debug mode enabled in advanced settings is required.

As said we know about the issues and tickets were created.
Right now the status is the following:
- We have no time to fix this
- The login process is complicated
- There are multiple ways to login
- We do not have an account which works without 2-factor-auth

I don't see a way to download without using their app. So unlikely this host will ever work without reversing their app.

I can already download .mp3 files with Jdownloader2, but for whatever reason it only works with .mp3 files, regardless of size (i.e. a small .pdf file will refuse to download without an account).

Any update about the situation yet? I also have an account there without 2FA, and I hope the issue of not being able to login via JDownloader get's resolved, since it's obviously more comfortable to download with your tool than direct-downloading from there, or with their client. It's correct that you need to use your real phone number to register there, but that's fine, you won't receive anything except for verification codes if you want to change any information in your account. 2FA is not enabled by default, at least as far as I can tell. Like I said, you only need to verify yourself with a code, when you want to change any information (password, add an email etc..).

@Takaishi: I'm sorry but no news yet. Our plugin developer is currently busy with university and doesn't find much free time to work on plugin related tickets . I can't tell when we/a developer will find time for it
