All correct.
When you add the direct link(no folder) then JDownloader doesn't do bot handling for each link again and again but only on actual download start. when bot protection kicks in, then name is parsed from link. The package name is auto derived during linkcrawling and without correct filename, no other package name can be shown. This is all due to the bot protection. If you want we can add bot handling to linkcheck as well but that would mean adding individual links can easily lead to many captchas

There is no CAPTCHA - it just forces you to enter CAPTCHA, when you add the link, even before the analysis, it is not correct!

Since no analysis has been started, it means that CAPTCHA is not valid.
The plug-in may not have changed, but on the forum the administrator wrote about the abolition of CAPTCHA within a day. Or longer...

There is a captcha. I've opened the link in browser. Working fine. Opened the link in JDownloader. Working fine. Opened another link in browser -> Captcha in browser -> Opened the link in JDownloader-> happens as explaineda

Not captcha in browser does NOT mean there is no captcha in JDownloader. I had no captcha in browser, added link -> captcha in browser.

It's just that JD2 and Browser are for separate "devices", but they log in from the same IP.

If I add, say, 30 individual links, it adds correctly without CAPTCHA and the correct package name.

If I add link to a folder with 30 links, it asks about CAPTCHA and as I wrote another package name before.

Same old story...all working as expected and explained.

adding a folder link -> decrypter/crawler will process it and place the found links into a package that the decrypter/crawler defines
your folder link will result in packages that have the folder name

adding a direct link -> hoster will process and there will be no package at all. JDownloader will auto create a package from filename
your direct links will result in auto package names derived from filenames
