Ok, I'll try it sometime soon.

EDIT

One question remains though (although this case should never happen again when you use JD): Do you actually get 60 minutes waittime then or also 2 hours?
I never paid much attention to the waittimes for RG. Except I think I remember that they used to usually go to 60mins after a check (when the daily limit was hit), not 35min.

With multiple IPs enabled, the waittime doesn't even get displayed at all sometimes, if one IP is downloading but the other is reconnect-waiting. The GUI is REALLY bad at showing you what's going to happen next, when you have multiple connections enabled. Things mostly happen at the right times, you just don't get to see ahead of time...

Maybe I should run a separate instance of JD2 for testing stuff. I haven't so far, because I have links I actually want to download, and I want them to show up as complete in my JD2 list. Other than editting the JSON while JD2 isn't running, there's no way to tell JD2 "hey, I downloaded this file outside of JD2, but it's in the right place on disk". :(

JDownloader only shows waiting times if there are no other options left to download a file (eg no other accounts, connections to try). so you will see waiting time only after all possibilities are tried.

The bigger problem is that even though each connection has its own waittime, you only see one of them. And it's not even always the shortest one.

The point is, you can't see what state each of your connections is in for each hoster, unless it's somewhere I haven't found yet.

Not a huge deal for using JD2, but it's a big pain for testing hosters / plugins. complaining about it in this thread is just wasting space, though. I only mentioned it to explain why it wasn't convenient for me to look at waittimes for testing the RG plugin.

Back then JDownloader was not made for your usage case so its still not perfect
Anyways - the captcha-expire-prevention should work fine - tested it.

Yup, I understand the reason, and that a big redesign of JD2 internals might be needed to really make JD2 nice to use with multiple IPs, from GUI to reconnects, etc.

Yeah, I tried submitting some captchas right around the cutoff time, and I don't think I managed to get JD2 to submit too late and have RG block us. Esp. with multiple IPs, though, it's sometimes hard to notice what happened. Is there a pattern I could grep for in my log files to check for this happening? Otherwise it's a real pain if I'm in the middle of using the filter bar for something else. I have to flip to "running", and tack on a "|*" to the end of my pattern to match all. Or a "|gator" to show RG running downloads.

Hm for the multiple IPs its probably the best to use multiple JDs (when it comes to logging) - but jiaz can tell you better

Yeah that would make testing plugins easier (except for bugs that only manifest with multiple connections). It'd be nearly unusable as far as actually keeping track of my links. (I like to keep completed links in my list for dup detection when I crawl new sources.)

is there any area for discussion of issues with Rapidgator for paid users? the discussion i see here seems to only pertain to non-premium use.

This is the right thread.

Recent discussion has been about non-premium. (The wait-times and captchas are another layer of complexity that premium doesn't have, and that's what required improvements.)

The new waittime handling gets confused if you skip or disable a link while it's up for captcha. I do this if I realize that JD2 is about to queue a big file on one of my proxy connections, but I want to reconnect my proxies soon. Or other cases, like noticing a file that I already have.

Anyway, with most hoster plugins, hitting return or escape on the captcha dialog without typing anything will redo the priority check, and try a different link if I raised the priority on something else while a captcha was open. Then I don't have to skip or disable anything.

However, with RG, even marking the current link as "skip", or clicking "skip" on the captcha box doesn't make the same connection try a different file right away.

I recorded this log right after doing this with a RG file on my proxy (port 4080)
jdlog://3149614718241/

For some reason, JD2 put that connection into a multi-hour waittime, and the log said "Wait time between downloads to prevent your IP from been blocked for 1 Day!".

I fired up chromium-browser --proxy-server=socks5://proxy:4080 to check RG on that connection, and it was ready to start a download. So JD2 hadn't even submitted a wrong captcha and got locked out at all, it just thought it had.

Hello,

with rapidgator premium I noticed a strange behaviour. From time to time premium download gets stuck. In the settings JD says it's trying to fetch account data but never finishes.

When I open the rapidgator homepage in my browser just once JD immediately gets the data and premium download keeps rolling.

I'm seeing the same issue as El Mariachi --

I have a list of downloads, and RG is downloading them one at a time (I set the Max Simultanious DL's to 1)
but after about 10-15 downloads, it loses seems to check my premium account and never responds.
Only workaround I found was to stop all downloads, un-check the RG Account Manager box. Exit JD, and re-launch, and re-enable the RG account.
Then I can download again.

Your JD got connection problem with RG, usually this is caused by anti virus.

Thumbs down Same problem with RG premium account

I have asked the question and get the same result with what tony2long gives. (Source: https://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=59438)
I had checked out the antivirus, firewall and isp and they were working fine. Several weeks before I used premium accounts of both uploaded and rapidgator for downloading, uploaded worked perfectly but rapidgator just rolled up over and over again and hanged all the download processes.

for those that are having issues, that can not use JD but can there webui, goto jd settings > plugins > rapidgator > disable api for premium users.

and give some feedback.

I disabled my anti-virus, and malwarebytes, and still have the hangup issue with rapidgator.
It was working fine a month or so ago.
Works fine with keep2share and other hosting sites, only rapidgator.

Edit: Just took the update, and connected fine to RG, not sure if anything was changed, but will post another log file if I run into the same issue.

I've added a bit more feedback after you receive html on openDownload, it could be due to your proxy, but wont know until until update goes live and you give new log.

quietly confident its your proxy that's blocking / preventing chunk ranging. You are trying to resume download and its failing

the final request to download the file comes back 'request range not satisfiable' && 0 filesize

Code:
----------------Response Information------------
Connection-Time: 4ms
----------------Response------------------------
HTTP/1.1 416 Requested Range Not Satisfiable
Date: Sat, 09 May 2015 09:59:23 GMT

Content-Type: application/octet-stream
Content-Length: 0

instead of resuming, try to reset (right click context menu). I suspect its fine with downloading from virgin files, just wont permit chunking (which includes resume) = your problem.

ok. Tried that still no luck. Shame the network im using forces you to enter proxy details :( I think im fighting a loosing battle. Still strange how they downloaded fine yesterday. hmmm

EDIT 1: All still the same. Downloads from rapidgator don't start at all. However i reilised that youtube videos work fine. Is this an issue with the proxy server, one that I can't fix? Thanks for your time

EDIT2: update. There still is hope! It started to download right there. It finished one link but wont carry on with the rest! what is going on here?

Default Timeout Issue

Hi,

I have a similar Problem like gunn96: the download startet, then I get a timeout error after 60s (Hoster offline?) and the download fails. It seems that JD uses with Rapidgator this settings (checked in the rapidgator.log.0 file): Connection-Timeout: 60000ms & Read-Timeout: 60000ms. In my preferences I use this settings: Connection-Timeout: 200000ms & Read-Timeout: 600000ms. When the timeout is reached the log says: Not connected yet!

Is there any setting to change this?

Here's my log: jdlog://4194709980341/

With the browser the download started and finished fine, so I think it's not the Firewall or AV Settings.
I had a another problem with Keep2Share and it was indeed the AV because of the multiple Domains they use, but there was no download via browser possible.
I checked the AV Settings and Rapidgator.net is in the exception list.

How about the timeout Settings I suggest? With Keep2Share I had a similar Problem: the download starts and breaks after 60 s, so I increased the timeout Settings as mentioned above. Now Keep2Share is working fine and the download is visible in the JD download list after 5 MB are downloaded from the file. The same procedure works fine for RG up to 09.05. (last time I dl a file from RG).
Why RG doesnt recognize the higher Settings and uses 60000/60000 instead of 200000/600000? The captcha and the ip ckeck uses the Setting, but RG not.
