Default local web interface on LAN?

can I run jdownloader headless on a computer and access it from a front-end on another computer on LAN without internet WAN access?

like rutorrent and transmission BitTorrent client that implement this feature?

https://my.jdownloader.org uses Direct Connection by default
Frontend Data comes from our server and with direct Connection Website speaks directly with you JDownloader. In any case traffic is encrypted so we are not able to see/sniff anything you do.
You can also develop own tools/clients. The MyJDownloader api is free/opensource and there are existing clients for javascript,java,php,c#....

what does direct connection means?
do you mean after loading the myjdownloader page then the requests on that page will be to my jdownloader server public ip?
that would still be on the internet.

so there is no existing app or webui with my description right now right?

Your JDownloader IPs! Direct Connection mode first checks if Client and Server are in same network and then tries localhost/LAN first, then fallbacks to WAN IP

I'm sorry but there does not exist a local webui yet
