Default fails to stop all running downloads

happens a lot, no files in queue, status: 948 13/05/10 11:15:08 - INFO [java_downloader] -> Stop all running downloads
948 13/05/10 11:15:08 - FINER [java_downloader] -> Abort all active Downloads

only way to quit is via ctrl alt del

Please provide your system, antivirus and firewall information.
Furthermore, please employ Java update 17 for there are bugs concerning all versions >17.

sorry for delay.

System: Windows 7 ultimate 32bit on a quad core amd system with 6gb ddr.
Antivirus/firewall = Comodo
current java version is V6.update 20 (1.6.0_20-b02)

How do i change Java to 17?

Deinstall update 20 and install update 17 (megaupload.com/?d=Q6BAIQ9K).

Ok, done that, has made no difference. Also having hsoter issues as mentioned in relevent forum

Are java.exe and javaw.exe on the firewall's exception list?
What do you exactly do to produce the error? How about example links?
Your JD version is not 0.8.9, it's just in this folder (I can see that in the Log), right?

JD version is: -xmas- Version 0.9.579
