Default Grabbing links from members-only sites?

How is it possible that JD is able to grab embedded Vimeo videos from a site that keeps content behind login credentials?

I can get links to all new videos published on the site, despite no longer being a member and logging in. How is this possible?

I tried reading the JD source code on Github but I find it very difficult to follow as I am an inexperienced Java developer.

You can either try Linkcrawler Rules, see board search, or write a native plugin for JDownloader.
-Linkcrawler rule contains the cookies/session info and then JDownloader can see website/request source and may be able to parse/find links
-native plugin you have to write the login stuff(PluginForHost) and a crawler(PluginForDecrypt)

What site are you talking about?

Hi Jiaz, thanks for your reply!

I think maybe you misunderstood my question so I'll rephrase it.

JD is already able to grab videos that should only be accessible to logged in users. I don't have a login for the site anymore but I can still download all videos, even ones that are released today. It's working great!

My question is, how is JD doing this? How is it getting those videos without needing to log in to the website?

I don't want to share the site until I have done more research and then I will disclose it to the site's owners, who are friends of mine.

Thanks for your help my friend!

Sorry for misunderstanding!

What site is it? You can also contact us via support@jdownloader.org

Either the links are still available within html or the site doesn't check for any valid account at all and provides the links to anyone without further checks

Yes you are right Jiaz, I think I found some links inside a <script> on the page's HTML!

Thanks for your help, you guys do an amazing job!

If I have other questions which aren't related, can I post them here or should I start a new thread?

If they are not related at all you can open another thread but especially if it's topics that you think won't be interesting for other users, you can just throw em into this thread
