Is anyone else noticing random download speeds/issues? I'm bouncing from 0-35KB/s, I see incorrect/improperly displayed percentages when I drop down, things of this sort. I know YT has had some random on/off issues lately so this might just be another one, but wondering if anyone else is experiencing similar anomalies.

For what it's worth, I tried these links on another app (4k Video Downloader) and, well, instead of seeing videos downloading I se multiple lines of random characters/wingdings. Again, gonna guess that YT is doing something odd again. I'll wait patiently for whatever fix comes, whenever.

An pspzockerscene. YT-Problem.Das Problem von HLX ist bekannt. Trotz all dem war/bin ich der Meinung die sogenannte falsche Darstellung der Bits verstanden zu haben. Das Programm stoppt nach 90% des bereits gedownloadeten und setzt anschließend den Download neu an um die restlichen "bits" zu downloaden. Daher werden nur die restlichen Bits dargestellt. Wenn HLX tatsächlich die Datei anschauen würde, müsst er feststellen, dass ungefähr die zu Anfang errechneten Bits tatsächlich auf der Festplatte hat. In meinen Augen war es durch Programmänderung des JD den download von YT zu optimieren. Man erkennt wie das Programm eine Methode anwendet um den Download erfolgreich zu machen!

Das vom User beschriebene Problem wurde behoben daher mein Post.
Die Dateigröße, die JD anzeigte war komplett falsch.
Der Bugfix wird, wie in meiner letzten Antwort beschrieben, mit unserem nächsten CORE-Update veröffentlicht.

When attempting to download the video, when it gets near the end, it appears to loop back to the beginning and shows a weird state where it thinks it's 99% done, but also 1% done as seen here: https://imgur.com/a/W8JwI3E

Once it gets close to finishing (99.35%), it appears to restart with 98%/1% again and repeats itself in a loop, never finishing the download.

Yeah I can confirm that. My download speed is capped at 800 KiB/s for the video part and the audio at 30 KiB/s.

As note, NewPipe is the only downloader that works as before, youtube-dl won't even start the download.

I know this thread have been Posted before.

it is about youtube download speed has decreased into less than 70kib/s, from what I searched for I learnt that it is youtube problem of changing its protocols, and to make sure, I download a file from another host and it was perfectly fine.

-Am I the only one having this problem right now?
-Or Will there be an update soon enough to solve this problem?

Hi All. Heres a update from here.

Youtube is still acting strange here. Some video downloads downloads run fast around 900KiB/s plus which is normal here and some creep along at 30KiB/s to 60KiB/s.

Dont remember if the speed has to do with the non DASH videos or the DASH videos..
I only download and run MP4's here on this old computer.

Hi there,
yesterday I tried downloading a youtube video as I always do.
Unfortunately, at first the download speed was terrible and seemed capped at about 360KB/s. Once it approached about 90%, the speed dropped to ~30 KiB/s.
The problem exists on several devices and when downloading from other services, the download speed matches my internet connection. Downloading from ssyoutube.com worked at full speed too.

I searched the subreddit and found similar reports of youtube download speeds capped at 360KiB/s / 30 KiB/s so this seems to be a more widespread problem.

Another update, it looks like the issue is either fixed (whatever experiments YT was doing it's over?) or slow speed is affecting not all links.

Mir ist gerade aufgefallen, dass JDownloader bei zu großen YouTube Playlisten nicht alle Videos in den Linksammler hinzufügt. Es werden immer nur die ersten 100 Videos der Playlist hinzugefügt und der crawler hört dann auf. Ich hab es jeweils auf zwei unterschiedlichen Geräten getestet Linux/Windows.
Hier mal ein Beispiellink bei dem momentan 249 Videos in der Playlist sind:

Thanks for the updates but lost the resume download feature on Youtube videos only .

Resume works fine everywhere else.

They start from zero and not where the download left off when stopped and continued later..Its a PITA to redownload a file at 1 to 3Gb every time if a connection was lost or stopped and continued later...

Hi.....You got too load Linkgrabber manually by highlighting "Making them Blue" all the videos on the channel..And click copy and they go on the clipboard so Linkgrabber will process all the videos from the clipboard .

Had to do that last week to download 1500 plus videos from one channel.

Also I did a batch of 150 videos last night this way.

Thats my work around the playlist limits issue...

UHD (2160p.60fps)-Versionen und
QHD (1440p.60fps)-Versionen
werden nach dem Core-Update nicht mehr angezeigt und nicht eingelesen !
Statdessen tauchen jetzt (1920p.25fps)-Versionen auf.
Echt schade drum, bitte möglichst schnell fixen !

Dazu eine Zusatzfrage: Wie kann ich die Priorität auf webm-Versionen rausnehmen ?
Den Haken bei WebM-Video hab ich raus genommen, er liest trotzdem als erstes webm ein.

Bei den YT-Qualitätsstufen des Videos wird 2160p(4K) angegeben, zur Auswahl im JD steht aber nur 1920p.25fps und 1280p.25fps statt 1440p. 60fps tauchen gar nicht mehr auf. Das war vorher bei 4K immer eine Option, ist immerhin ein Qualitätsparameter.

Was meinst du mit Orientierung des Videos ? Und gibt es eine Möglichkeit, die erste Priorität auf .mkv und nicht auf .webm zu setzen ?

@cobratigra: Youtube bietet für dein Beispiel keine 60fps Variante an. Und die "Statistiken fürs Nerds" zeigen 3840x1920@25. Es lag also nicht an der Orientierung des Videos sondern am Aspect Ratio des Videos. JDownloader zeigt hier die tatsächliche Auflösung an und nicht die Qualitätsstufe.
Sofern das Video auch 60fps bietet, taucht es auch weiterhin in der Auswahl auf, getestet mit anderen Links.
