Default RS2IP Support

I maybe a little dense but I cant seem to get RS2IP (**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**) to work with jDownloader, nor can I find and information on how to get it to work.

RS2IP is a really useful tool in order to bypass ISP traffic shaping and what would make it better is if could work with jD. If jD had the option to convert links to IPs as RS2IP does then that would be about as perfect as it gets!

Thoughts?

Hmm i think it would be possible by a setting but the question is if many people need that...

A lot of ISP's worldwide shape RS traffic so I would think a lot of people would appreciate it's implementation. Here RS2IP is the difference between 100KB/s and 2.5MB/s.

I personally would love to see this feature in jD. Here's hoping you guys go ahead with it!

Excellent! Sorry to repost for the same request, I did search the forums but only for "RS2IP" so I didn't find anything. I really look forward to this request being solved!

Keep up the great work guys!

I think one of the way that the development team can do is develop a plugin for this function. When user need it, they can simply enable the plugin and have the function. I do believe it is something that is not very difficult to build.

Maybe you can create a poll and see how many people need it.

The problem with a poll is that most people I know don't use jD as it doesn't have this function and therefore have no reason to visit the forums. This function is more likely to attract new users then please existing ones.

Why do you believe that? Are you a Java programmer? Do you know jD's internals?

Well it could be easy if you do it only for RS but imagine you would wanna do it for all hosters...
Well and also jd can't change the links internally to IPs if your ISP blocks the links (rapidshare).

Sorry to dig this up again, but I was thinking if this could be implemented intially for RS links only. I believe even if this was introduced for RS links alone it would still be very useful for alot of people.

Let me know what you think. Thanks.
