YouTube doesn't work without ffmpeg anymore. Pretty annoying.
Hope you revert the changes so it works again without ffmpeg.

Further details: Youtube and FFmpeg / download system out of memory

When adding Youtube links, JD2 doesn't recognize 60fps versions as the "best" ones.
Examples:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

JD2 just adds the 30fps 720p version for those videos.
You have to manually select the 60fps version on the "Set variant" submenu for those links, even if in the plugin settings you have marked "Create a link for the best video quality".

@bugnotme:
it works fine without ffmpeg, but only on normal formats. everything that needs muxing/demuxing (mp3/dash) requires ffmpeg.

I try the same thing with clipconverter.cc, grabbing a YT video as an m4a from there and it uploads just fine. I am 99% sure the converting at the end of downloading a file with JD that ruins its metadata or something, preventing it from being a "proper" .m4a file. This is only happening with JD, I am able to grab YT files with any of the online downloading sites and they upload properly.

Thanks for any help!
Just trying one last time

Hi everyone

I'm having a problem with a YT video in particular, namely

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

I tried to download the video, but JD says "YouTUbe Server Error, try again later;" the same goes for the m4a whereas the JPG was downloaded with no problem.

I tried downloading a similar video, as well as the JPG and the M4a versions, and I could get all of them:

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Any ideas? Thanks!

@gambino: JDownloader does NOT convert. It only demuxes the original Audio track and it is VERY likely that your working tools CONVERT while JDownloader only DEMUX.

@John_Space, HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error
Either they have server issues or changing something that broke the plugin. As it does not break at all we have to wait and see which is the case

Thanks for the response, how can I check this? I went through JD settings and couldn't find anything.

edit: I completely removed and reinstalled JD, I got the prompt to download and install ffmpeg within JD and I proceeded, it's doing the same thing. I see when a YouTube file is completing it's saying "Converting/demuxing". I just don't know where I can change this.

I think there is a problem with YT:
This occurs when the conversion plugin is announced as obsolete
But information say everything is ok while some see a lot of downloads are not complete(converted).
And having re-started(resumed) and completed, the conversion information are still incorrect...

But a picture is worth more than a speech ;-)
Here are two photos to the two situations
eg. before: https://board.jdownloader.org/attach...8&d=1440263092
eg. after: https://board.jdownloader.org/attach...7&d=1440263083

Ps: sorry if i'm wrong ;-)

210/225: because 14 files were affected...

In short, when they are not all correctly downloaded, he said everything is ok.
And when everything is realy ok, then he said no.
