Default Various Files?

Since the last update, or perhaps the one previous to that, every time I grab a link it appears in the LinkGrabber as "Various Files" whereas previously it always had the same name as the file being loaded. This means I have to manually rename each file.

What's that all about and how can I get JD to grab links as it used to please?

I don't believe any code changes have been made in respects to Various.

I recommend that you check various settings

settings > advanced settings > filter: various

I cannot find any such setting. See attached screenshot.

I have noticed that it only happens with single links. When I select several links at the same time the file name is respected. But if I grab a single link it always appears as "Various Files". It never used to do that before.

the search bar is the filter, remove 'filter' text you typed and place in 'various'

I have attached a screenshot of the result but I do not know what I am supposed to do to stop it from listing single links as Various Files?

That is the default setting
various = enabled
various is set to package name when single item package. If you don't want this feature uncheck the checkbox!

This feature has been in JDownloader 2.0 for 4~ years

If it has been in JD for years then it cannot be that which is causing my files to be renamed "Various Files" as this only started 2 or 3 days ago.

What is the Various setting for anyway?

If I copy any single link it will be loaded in JD as "Various Files". I have made no changes to the program's settings. Attached is another screenshot of the whole window showing the package being labeled as "Various Files" and the real file name. At the bottom you can see the reg expression JD is using but that has always been the same.

the package is 'various files' the filename is true/correct and intended behaviour. You seem to be highly confused. If you don't want various files packages to be used please disable it as in my first post! You will also need to re-add links (as in delete) to linkgrabber.

Yes, you are correct. That fixed it however I still do not know how it became enabled? I have been using JD2 since it was first released and have never modified the Advanced Settings. I'm sure it happened after one of the last updates.

Thanks for your help raztoki.

its been default setting since the feature was introduced ~4 years ago, either you have never noticed it before, OR you add links which always return more than one object for (eg. mirrors or part files), OR packagename is set via other means add links dialog OR package customiser rules, OR API's.
