Dialog "Archive password required"
"A password is required to unpack this archive"
Hm, oh well, OK ... But for wich one, of all that archived downloads? It would be realy helpful, if this dialog could showing the related archive name and perhaps the container name too. |

add links dialog can mass set pre download password and extraction password
if you use clipboard you can set pre dl password via right click > properties > set download password extraction password via right click > properties > archive > set archive password both those can be done at individual selection, multiple selection, or package level! but I assume he means some dialog that popups up during extraction asking for password!

I don't see the dialog via right click > properties > archive > set archive password.
I mean, from the download page how can I change the archive password previously set (wrongly)? I am running JD2 on a Synology DS1515+ Last edited by Wolf666; 23.02.2016 at 12:43. |

@Wolf666
are you using JDownloader 2.0 with or without a GUI? Without would mean you're using webui or browser extension or application for mobile device raztoki

@Wolf666: Does your device extract? Did you copy over an existing installation or install from scratch?

Extraction works pretty well, no problem, I was just trying to modify the password since I made a mistake and I did not find any way to get a proper dialog popup.

You can set an extraction password when adding links through the "Add Links" dialog.
You can add a password to the password list of the extraction extension through the web interface. Just go to settings, then choose "Extraction Extension". I'll add the possibility to change the extraction password per download via right click menu in the web interface with the next update. The update should go live tomorrow (Revision 645). Do you have access to the Android app? You can already change the extraction password per download via the app.

thanks a lot for your prompt action, looking forward to get that update. I am an experienced user of JD and JD2 (installed on Synology DS213+ and DS1515+), I normally set passwords during the link grabbing process. This time I failed to copy that password and i discovered I was not able to change it from webgui. I don't have an android but I use an iOS app called "JDAnywhere", useless for changing the extraction password. |
