jd2 is working great for me, it captures links much quicker, in jd1 i would have to slow down my copying, but not anymore, thanks.

The one feature that I miss from JD1 is the duplicate link checker.
In JD1 if you had downloaded the exact same link last week, and try it again, it would colour in different in the link grabber, saying that it is already on the download list. Now it does not do that. When downloading, JD2 pops up a warning if the file is still there, but if you renamed it or moved it, you now have two copies and wasted bandwidth.

Ive been using JD2 about 5 months and i dont fancy it at all. I try to keep myself positive so that i can get use to it but the features are too confusing and require a lot of clicking.

for examples
linkgrabber list
properties>set prority
other>move links to new package
clean up>clear linkgrabber

download list
properties>show URLs>copy URLs
other> remove files/move files to new package

Please maintain the old features for JD right click function

Can you also please alternative interface of the JD2 i prefer the old interface less colorful.

Hi,

For Linkgrabber tab
1. Customize the right click.

For downloads tab
1. Customize the right click. Also to copy the links you can use CTRL + C.
At the moment move into a new package is now working (i mean in donwloads tab).

Customize some colors in the advanced settings, there type the word "laf".

Minimiere den JD dann hast du was du wünscht.

@kom: That's why there is the item "Menu Manager". You should use it to configure your own context menu. Also see Settings-->User Interface. ;)

Was sind eure Einstellungen?

Also kurz gesagt: Es gibt keinen Unterschied.

Is there any function for

and
"create subfolder after adding links"

This is important (to me at least) to prevent the dl files from jumble up.

you can find that within package customise rules (its a default rule). This works based on links hitting linkgrabber... not existing links present in linkgrabber or download tabs.

or

when you changing the path, there is a checkbox in change path dialog box.

Moin,

Default Lets Kill The Horns!

I've been using the latest jdownloader beta for the last months, and so far, I like it very much and I haven't looked back to v1. But there are three things that I feel should be changed/improved and I would like to comment them here.

“The Horn” control: I'm referring to the strange designed control that has a triangle, a square and another triangle, this one for reference: i.imgur.com/SUa7vIF.png

This control has two main problems: first, why are the two extremes so small? They are very difficult to target with the mouse, and to make it worst, they have the most used functions of the three ones. They should be much wider, like the center.

Second would be the center. What are the chances that I would like to clear the download links that often to warrant the only direct action on the control to be it? Almost none. And not only that, it is the most dangerous action, and probably the least used, and still, it is the biggest, most prominent, direct one. What would be more useful? Clear finished downloads, or clear finished packets.

I believe it needs to be rethink into something like this i.imgur.com/wmKCUaj.png or even scrapped all together for something more standard.

The Context Menus. Maybe I use jdownloader differently than most, but the previous version context menu was much more logically arranged.

For me at least, the most used options on the context menus are:
Resume/Reset.
Disable/Enable
Check Online status.
Set priority.
Move into new package (by the way, this doesn't works at all).
Rename.
Copy URLs (now you have to go through like 3 clicks to get to it).

Of all, Only Disable/Enable is at the firs level. All the rest you have to go to a sub menu. Meanwhile, delete, which is a dangerous operation, is on the firs context menu. I don't know if you already do, but maybe you can collect menus/submenus information and send weekly for analysis, and use that to define the most used ones.

I know there is now a very powerful menus/submenus editor, but I'm sure you know that defaults are what matters most.

Last, but not least, it would be great to have a way to (1), program when to start/stop downloading in advance (for example, I want to start downloading a 11PM and stop at 7AM) and (2) control the bandwidth used, so that I can say to download at 2MB from 10PM to 6AM, but to download at 1MB the rest of the day. Both option I was able to do on v1.

My humble 2 cents.

Hi kwanbis,

thank you very much for the detailed feedback. I'll only refer to the context menu problem. At first, the menu editor has been more like a workaround. Of course, we will keep it but there is no time to put so much efforts in optimizing the default structure. This will be done once more important work has been finished. I guess I'm going to create a ticket in which I'll collect the most commonly used options. Thanks for starters!
EDIT: In fact, you could speed up everything and safe us some work if you created a complete proper context menu, yourself. You could export it in the menu manager and send to us.

Concerning the sheduler: I guess, you didn't use JD1 for a while? There has been and still is a sheduler but it has been removed from future versions due to its bugs. It will be redeveloped once there is time.

Some feedback for Hoster Rules:

I would like to use it but its way to complicated.
  1. I don't want to select every single hoster; Why not having a list of hosters which checkboxes instead of this dialog:
  2. I am using 2 Multihoster Accounts it would be enough for me If I could set priority levels to each account: If the first one isn't wokring or the hoster is not supported JD should choose the second one.

@datroubler
1. Ticket:

2. JD already uses the 2nd account if the first fails!

This means that the order of the accounts plays a role?

I don't know - usually not.
JD cycles through all available accounts (of course respecting your account usage rules) before it tries free-download.

Warum fehlt dies in JD2? Wenn man dann wieder neue Downloads starten will musste mein einfach nochmals draufklicken.
