problem: error on startup

when i try to open JD 2 i get that error message.

Hmmm... looks like some problem with your Java environment. Did you recently upgrade Java?

You maytry something like that (before Jiaz or coalado take a look into that error):
- backup the folders CFG and CONFIG (I think CFG alone will also work) - this will backup your settings and downloads/linkgrabber lists - uninstall JD2 - dowload EXE installer - install JD2 again, but do not start - copy previously backuped folders into your new JD2 installation - run JDownloader 2 Updater.exe and finally run JDownloader 2.exe |

sorry but i already wiped my profile like a fool ( reinstall ) id have to do a clean install of the program i guess

You can build nightly release from stable by executing this from the command line:
java -Xmx512m -jar jdupdate.jar -branch NIGHTLY Btw... but the problem you were reporting was with JD2 not with Nightly..... |
