Ok thanks for help. I can hear the sound when win is starting, but do not remember other sounds.
I have changed the alert sound link to a mp3-file, but does not work, too.

Irrespective of that the tool does not ask me "Please enter".
Should it ask to enter the captcha?

Cool

jD shows a challenge response window with "Please enter" in the title when it wants you to enter the captcha response.

If you don't use links from hosts with captchas, it won't show you any of those challenge dialogues neither.

My question was regrading Parameter 1 of the Captcha Alert ini file.
I did not mean the JD captcha window.

1. : Please enter

Does Captcha Alert not ask in his own window to enter the catcha, for example "please enter"?

Released ver. 1.2!

New: added a checkbox to stop countdown timer in JD captcha window

Note: With this cheCkbox checked, Captcha Alert will give focus to the detected window and send it a KeUp + KeyDown to stop countdown.

Are there some users interested to send specific keys to the detected window?
I could implement also this function, if requested.

Dear nicodocet, is there possibility to add an option to minimize Captcha Alert window to tray? Maybe some button or something in area near Minimalize icon? Can you do this? Your tool is great and with this improvement could be greater

Greetings from Poland

I think I could be able to do this.
What about if Captcha Alert is directly minimized to system tray when you press the minimize icon of its window, i.e. without a specific button/option?

My CA is always minimised in the task bar and I wouldn't like it to be hidden in the tray. I already have almost 20 items in there and I'm looking for ways to remove them because it's such a hassle to select any of them.

Minimalization directly to system tray is good for me. There might be 2 options: making 2 another compilations of CA (first with minimalization to taskbar, second with minimalization to system tray; user can choose which version of CA want to use and download that) or make some button/option which let to choose what type of minimalization we want use. Or third way, make additional button (near existing button to minimalization) to minimalize direct to tray.

(I hope that you can understant what I mean. My english isn`t perfect )

Released ver. 1.4!

New:
- added a checkbox to force Captcha Alert's window to be minimized in the system tray
- added a checkbox to start Captcha Alert already minimized
- added a popup menu to handle all Captcha Alert functions when minimized to the system tray
- removed Quit button
- added a Pause/Resume button to temporaly disable windows watchdog
- added different icons for Paused/Resumed state
- changed the .ini file format and fixed a bug in storing Captcha Alert's window position
- fixed a little graphic artifact in the GUI

I added several things in this version, but unfortunatly not all have been tested as it would.

You might want to change "C:\windows" to the environmental variable "SystemRoot" (Will probably be "%SystemRoot%\media\notify.wav" ) that way if your utility gets popular enough to be ran on nonstandard window install directories it will still work out of the box.

Handy util by the way, thanks!

CA already retrieves the "SystemRoot" from the environmental variable, but you have to run CA with no .ini file. Then, after you exit, you can modify the .ini generated by the tool in accordance to your need.

Hi folks,

Q1: Where can I download version 1.4?

Q2: Can this be integrated into JD ... like a Add-On?

Thanks!

G!

Default User-written add-ons as part of the JD package

Captcha Alert is a user written add-on and probably will not be included in the normal JDownloader distribution.

Please refer to User-written add-ons as part of the JD package

They don't work. Why don't you use a hoster where DLs do not expire so quickly?

Adding links as a spoiler instead of attached files would be more convenient as well.

FYI: The webhost uploaded.to is disabled in the USA. No American user will be able to download the current links (unless they use a work around).

Sorry for dead links.

Anyway, I've just released ver. 1.5!

New:
- maintenance release, with minor improvements
- fixed a bug in the popup menu: now the menu is hidden by clicking outside it

Default CaptchaAlert not play the sound that I choose

Hi
First of all I thank you for creating this application so useful, as is the CaptchaAlert.
I confirm that I am using in the operating system Windows 7 32 bit and it works fine.

But the problem I'm having to configure the. CaptchaAlert ini to play the sound. Wav that I chose and I can not do. I tested my putting. Wav file in different locations or folders, then configure the file path Wav file. CaptchaAlert ini and not play the sound that I set.

The file path. Wav's configure as follows in the. Ini:
C:\Archivos Portables\CaptchaAlert15\CaptchaAlert.wav

I also tried putting me Wav file on disk C and setting the path as follows:
C:\CaptchaAlert.wav

And even so, not getting the achievement CaptchaAlert delivers sound I want.

I hope you can help me solve this problem so that the CaptchaAlert if playing the sound Wav that I like and that I choose.

I expect a prompt response from you.

Fabian from Argentina.
Best regards.

Sorry for delayed reply.
I tried several time placing a .wAv file somewhere in C:\ and it works.
Sure the file you want to play isn't corrupted?

First of all - thank you so very much for this extremely useful tool! I love it! Please excuse my writing - my first language is german.

I'd be interested in the Source-Code so i have an example to learn from. You can be shure that im not gonna spread that - this ist only for my own education.

I code (very) small programs every once in a while if there is a need for that. Last thing was a Batch file that reminds me to activate an external drive every time when i want to start the JDownloader and then starts the JDownloader.

I used to forget that and ran into trouble because the File could'nt be saved and then i had to wait an hour for the next download...x)

If someone is interested here's the code:

MsgBox "Attention!"&chr(13)&chr(13)&"Start external Drive !!!"&chr(13)&chr(13)&"Press enter to start JDownloader !"
strProgramPath = "C:\progra~2\JDownloader\jdownloader.exe"
set objShell = createobject("Wscript.Shell")
objShell.Run strProgramPath

Forgot: Save it as JD_Info.vbs

It took me days of research until it finally worked - please don't laugh...

Registered today - nice to be here !
