Exclamation Cannot choose download folder if folder name end of " " (space)

Latest version of JD 2 (Sept 2020)
macOS Catalina 10.15.6 (19G2021)

Cannot choose download folder if folder name end of " " (space) when manually add the link on a static file.

The "Cannot create the folder....." dialog appear.

Please fix due " " at the end of folder name is common mistake from user side when manually creating folder.

Thank You again for perfect tool!

Do you mean you've entered a folder by hand and there was a " "(Space) at the end?
Where did this happen? In property window at the bottom or via rightclick context menu?

I can add a space to the end of a path without issues and "open download folder" is working fine here.
Which OS are you using?
Can you reproduce this issue or did it only happen once for you?

macOS make possible to create folder name with SPACEs. This have some drawbacks: if by mistake when fast typing in a keyboard I press SPACE at the end of folder name, not possible to see if this SPACE exist or not in standard file macOS browser Finder.
So, the name "Steve Jobs" and "Steve Jobs " looks IDENTICALLY in macOS Finder.
And when I choose in JD the folder with a SPACE at end, error happened.
