Default Archive > Extract Now does nothing

For the past few days, Archive>Extract Now has stopped working for single-part archives (i.e. a single RAR). It does nothing. The RAR is on the disk. There is no alert, no reaction, JD just ignores my action.

I appear to be encountering the same problem, though only for the past day. Looks to me like single file extractions haven't been working since the extraction plugin was updated for revision 1975 according to my "updatehistory" logs.

How the hell do bugs like this get past us downloaders with no complaints for so long, not to mention the probably non-existent relevant unit tests

Only single files?
Do you mean auto extract or manual...or both?

Both, in my case. Split rar's still extract fine, but not single files.

Same here... i hate that.... working features stop working after updates.

Ah, updates install more bugs than features, right?!

It's not a bug, it's a feature!

Where can i get a version from 2012? Seems that there were less problems than today... ^^

Default Beta stopped extracting

My JDownloader2 Beta stopped extracting downloaded archives all of a sudden about 5 days ago. Also, manual extraction does not work.
I've reinstalled, but same result

That's a good first step. No clues as to how this happens? There has to be some code that responds to the menu event and schedules an extraction.

Is this related to the delayed enabling of the Archive menu? Sometimes when right-clicking in the Downloads view, the context menu pops up with a grayed-out Archive menu item. Then after a few seconds Archive is enabled. This means you have a Java thread, scheduled when the context menu pops up, which checks whether the link is indeed an archive (and enables the Archive menu item appropriately). I've written about this elsewhere.

OK, that's a big FAQ with some seemingly irrelevant info. More specifically, when?

Which irrelevant info?
Do you want a countdown or what?
Updates are done when either the auto update script is running or - in this case because it's a core thing - core updates are released by the developers.

EDIT

Also: You're using a damn BETA...
