Default Question about Backup funtion JD2

Does "Backup all setting" backup all the links under "Downloads" tab and "LinkGrabber" tab?

I wonder because I used "backup all setting" function for backing-up JD2 on the first time I setup JD2. I got a small file size 1.5MB. Today backup JD2 again after 1 month. I got a large file size 25MB.

Exactly - all the settings + DowloadList and LinkCollector/LinkGrabber lists (current and previous - how many see: advanced Settings: GeneralSettings: Keep XOld Lists) so when your lists are growing - this *.jd2backup will also grow.
This file is ZIP file with CFG subfolder compressed into the archive.

It simply backups the complete cfg folder into a zip file

thanks for both answers, I too was wondering what's in the backup file, and I reduced it from 9 megabytes to 99 kilobytes in a minute

You're welcome!
the downloadList/linkcollector zips are your lists, 99kb sounds like you've nothing in list or deleted them too
