Well its no secret that many file hosts actively block Hong Kong. Filesonic does that too AFAIK. The issues has been brought up before and I have also asked the reps of these cyberlockers in the past as to why they do it but never really got any response. They want to keep it a secret. Some people say its because too many hacking attempts are made from HK and so they block HK for security reason but I have no idea if there's any truth to that.

I don't think its because you guys have high speed connections. If that were true, they would have blocked the whole of Europe.

The fileserve rep himself is from Hong Kong and I think their office is in HK too. That begs the question, are they doing it to protect themselves from some law?

after 15 minutes downloading fileserve files with jdwonloader it seems the problem is fixed!!

Not really. 2mbps maxed out on both of my net connections.

I am in total awe of all of you who have developed and continue to develop JDownloader. I've been using it for at least a year, and I find it the most amazing piece of software on my computer.

For those reporting being blocked in certain countries, you said that you were able to download when the API was active, but not now that the plugin is using the web interface. I'm curious to know if you could download from FileServe if direct download links were available. If that is the case, then for those select people, I'd be more than happy to make further modifications to the FileServe hoster plugin (unofficially, of course) to login to FileServe from a remote US-based server, and pull direct download links from there which can be used to download in jD.

I must repeat that if I do this, it will be unofficial and will overwrite the current FileServe hoster plugin on your machine. I cannot guarantee that this can be done since I haven't tried it yet, but it's worth a shot if you have a premium account and are blocked in your country. If you want me to try to get this going for you, let me know via PM.

Also, in doing so, I'd recommend only using such an unofficial plugin until your premium account expires. After which time, it'd probably be best to switch to another file hosting provider.

I know from other customers that megaupload blocks HK people from downloading from their servers. MU's headquarters are in HK. This means they've a secret and of course corrupt deal with the HK government.

Mine is maxed out also, at times. But then it suddenly drops to 40 kb/s. when full speed its 1.26 mb/s.

My premium account is well recognized in the settings, but it is impossible for a download to start. The status is always "Hoster problem? Wait 10m:00s".

I've tried with many files, always the same issue.

Does anybody else has this problem?

i have same problem in US.. fileserve said maintenance is gonna last 48 hrs on 17th.... its been like 5 days after those 48 hrs... cant jdownloader update something to fix this?

goto fileserve.com edit your account settings... enable direct downloads, it should then work. This solution has been stated many times now. It would be nice if people read the thread history before making posts (even if it was the last few pages)

If you get "No permissions to write to hard disk", please, read about connection problems and their solutions. Your log scrap confirms you're having connection problems.

Good looking out remi. I might think it sometimes has something to do with my harddrive. The harddrive im downloading to sometimes are abit slow

Note: Enable DirectDownload in your Premium Settings on fileserve.com.
With next plugin update it will work also without this setting being enabled

lately i keep getting unexpected rangeheader fromat:null error happens to me on evey file hoster and every link jdownloader keeps retrying the link then after about 5 tries it say plugin outdated try resseting the link download failed any help please

I recommend to :-

1) Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the html/web download scanner in your virus software.

2) Reduce the Max. Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1. Reset the affected links.

1. i have allowes java on all my things

2. it seems reducing the max con works but my speed drops loads any help on this maybe because it splits files to download faster i really need this im uselly on 15 max con. Anyway i can put this number back up without error

Please provide some example links that have this problem. The plug-in might be updated to reflect the limits you experience.

Many hosts allow only one connection per file for free loaders.

If you've an account it's much better to download multiple files simultaneously instead of using more than one connection.

Examples:

I see what you mena by adding more multiple downloads yes my speed is now normal for a Premium user but i personally prefer my max con at 15 and max dl on 1 i use to get 1.7Mib but after putting all the settings to 1 i only get about 600kbs i know i can add more max dl to get speed back up but i prefer downloading 1 link at time any help how can fix my max con please

yeh its fine i guess was just wondering why it aint working now because how i use to use 15 max con and 1 max dl and suddenly i get errors out of nowhere

If you don't like failed downloads and broken connections set "Max. Con." to 1 and increase "Max.Dls". More simultaneous downloads will maximise your download throughput. More connections will make your downloads slower.

fileserve did server changes and chunkload no longer works because of this. i already informed them

I hate to say it, but Fileserve just seemed to stop working in jdownloader again, for me.

Yes, I had done that.

But it just started working again. Had stopped for about 20 minutes. Possibly just a glitch at my end and I over-reacted. If it happens again I'll investigate further.
