Hi men!
I've the same problem. I bought a premium fileserve account days ago. It works perfectly with Jdownloader, but without a reason, some links just don't work. JDownloader says "No internet connection?" in each of them. It happens in some links, so I can't extract my downloads cause I lack 2-3 parts. I can't download them with my browser: the link doesn't exists. With that info you can think I'm a stupid noob and those links are just down. But no! What freaks me out is that all those broken links work in other places where I tried to download them (university, reading rooms, etc). Any idea????????? ![]() Thanks in advance!!!!!!!! |

you can try out to modify the hosts file to provide a correct dns resolv.
iwf blocks fileserve for many isp.

Your post doesn't contain all the information we need.
Helping you is easier for us if you read the rules before posting and follow them so we have all information we need to help. Information which could be missing are for example: Log & Example Links (the links you tried to download with JD). GreeZ pspzockerscene

Hi. This is not the same person from post #781. I keep getting an unknown landing error with a particular fileserve link in jdownloader. I also cannot download it from the browser; I get the please wait 900 seconds. I have tried changing my IP address and deleting cookie but I still get the error in jdownloader and my browser (firefox 3.6.16).
Other fileserve links seem to work fine. It's just this one. So I assume it's not a problem with jdownloader? I don't know. But the error message says to contact jdownloader for support so that's what I'm doing. The logfile link is http://jdownloader.org/pastebin/34858 The fileserve link is **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** Using jdownloader 0.9.581, Sun Java 1.06_24-b07, winxp sp3 |

Oh c'mon! FileServe is getting messed up more by the day.
[URL=**External links are only visible to Support Staff** border="0" referrerpolicy="no-referrer" alt="" /> I'll be contacting them soon (again!). Last edited by Fo4RaX; 09.04.2011 at 02:21. |

oh yea I also wanted to point out a really annoying problem. If you have added links in the linkgrabber window and then you close jdownloader you will lose all those links the next time you open jdownloader. This has frustrated me on more than one occasion.
I don't want to load all the links in the download window because many times I have different host links for the same file so there's no reason to load them all. I could disable the links and then load in the download window but some hosts will not reconnect after you disable and then re-enable. I have to copy the url again and add it through linkgrabber, then delete the original. It's a hassle. Can you make jdownloader remember the links in linkgrabber please? |

jd does handle interchangable links itself. just add all mirrors and jd will disable the others automatic. no need to keep the mirror in linkgrabber list.
but we will add a warning and/or saving option for linkgrabber too in future

I don't want to load all because I like to pick and choose which mirror I want to use. Many hosts are worse to use than others. Thanks for considering this. |

@buggsy of post #787 (the one with the lost linkgrabber links issue)
You can disable links in the Linkgrabber before you move them to the download queue. |

Exactly, you can add the same files from two different hosts.
Just disable the ones from the host you don't want to download at that time (in linkgrabber list) and click continue with all. Then you'll have all the links from both hosts (same files) in JD. |

Sorry for posting 2 messages shortly after eachother but I've got some very important news from FSe.
I contaced Ricky who is employed at Fileserve about all the landing errors and dead links and received an honest reply: Quote:
So basically this means: If you're trying to download files from fs2271dm.fileserve.com or fs846dm.fileserve.com and you get a FATAL ERROR / landing error (404) you won't be able to get these files as their servers have crashed. Chances of data recovery are slim so don't expect to get those files ever again. If you uploaded to those servers and they are unreachable it is advised to reupload them. Very sad news as I've had several needed files on that particular server. At least I'm glad I finally got an honest explanatory reply. The reply from FSe support I got a while back only said they're aware of it and working on it. But now we know we don't have to try getting those files back. Maybe an admin can put this information at the beginning of this topic or make it a sticky? A lot of people have come here to complain about the same problems (including me ![]() EDIT: Followup Quote:

Thx Jiaz.
Any way of making this message more visible? Think this will solve a lot of people's questions/complaints. EDIT: well, if the report in JD is clear there's no need to make the forum message pop up more I guess ![]() Last edited by Fo4RaX; 11.04.2011 at 13:38. |

Could you please explain how one can detect/obtain the server for a particular FSe link?
