I was able to check that info with the steps you provided, but JDownloader has facilitated me a lot of work for a long time so I would probably not try another tool unless it was absolutely necessary if I had no other options

I will recheck the dates from the streams that I download from time to timem and this forum when I remember to see if there are updates. However, I understand if you are busy with other things and it's ok that you take all the time that you want. I'm honestly not trying to pressure anything and I hope I didn't bother you

I can't explude JDownloader bugs here but all I'm saying is: JD is simply parsing the dates from youtube so if they are wrong in the end, it's mostly on YT.
If YT was to change their website, the dates would be missing and still wouldn't be wrong so it really looks like they were changed later.

To double-check this you could e.g. save some html files of some newer youtube videos now and, if the bug happens again, you could check if the html/date inside html differs from the version you've saved.

Regarding the additional replacers for recorded livestreams:
Release of those changes will take at least 4 weeks as I will be on vacation soon.

Thank you for your patience on this. If it is alright I can suggest something that might be easier to implement, if you prefer

Instead of adding new tags or a new setting in the configuration menu, JD could check if there is a "startTimestamp" on a youtube video (not the "endTimeStamp"). If this exists, JD can take the date from there instead of "publishDate" or "uploadDate". It just has to follow the Java date/time formatting of our choice. For my videos, I use *DATE_TIME[yyyy-MM-dd]*

The solution is of course up to you, I'm grateful for any solution you choose to implement

Thank you, but just to clarify, this is not a request for audio track settings.

It's a report that the wrong audio track is being downloaded for the YT video. It's an English video, but JD is using the German audio for some reason.

(When you play it on YT, it will default to English)

I get what you're trying to say but in my browser, the default language of this video is german.
Even when I'm logged out it's german.

What you can try:
1. Delete this item in JD.
2. Add your youtube account to JDownloader.
3. Re-add that video, download it and chec what's the language now.
If it is still unchanged, I may create another ticket.
Maybe a "Set preferred audio language" setting will be needed in the end.

The YT website might automatically do that based on your OS- or browser language and/or based on the main country/language fo your Google account.

i have a movie that downloads ok but only able to select subtitle, this movies has multiple languagues and there's not option to select it, i guess JD get first languague youtube select, should be able to select languague as option for subtitles

and optional : option to select all languagues and subtitles as original source if possible.

I have the same problem with the following video:

JD loads the video (mp4 1080p H264 AAC) with arabic instead of english audio, even with logged in YT account.

Yes, that would be very practical in addition to being able to choose the desired track manually.

Ich hab schon gesehen, dass "1080p Premium" nur YT Premium-Usern angezeigt wird. Wenn ich aber im JD die Datei einfüge, macht es keinen Unterschied ob ohne YT-Account oder mit YT Premium-Account: es wird nicht die Premium-Variante (bei der im Videoplayer angegeben wird: Bessere Bitrate) runtergeladen, sondern immer die Standard-Variante.

Daher wollte ich mal fragen, ob man eine Unterstützung im JD einbauen könnte. Wenn ihr keinen YT-Premium-Account habt, würde ich euch die Zugangsdaten mitteilen - auf welchem Wege?

Is anyone else having issues adding YouTube login info to jDownloader? I was able to successfully add my regular/free YT account not too long ago and downloaded videos that required age verification/login to watch, but now the plugin keeps saying "Unknown Error" / "Temp. Disabled". I tried removing and adding the login info again, I add my account name (username + @gmail.com) and the cookie data from Firefox (obtained with the Flag Cookies addon), I get a popup message saying "Result of the Account Verification: Premium Account" and then the same "temp disabled" error occurs.

Regarding the Youtube audio track issue, I have planned (several months ago, by this point) to try to handle it myself and have done some work on figuring out the (probably very simple) solution to downloading the default audio track, but have had various things cause this not to happen so far (for example, I currently don't really have an internet connection).

I do hope I will get to it at some point, but it would require me having at least a free hour or two to understand the JD code, the relevant Java classes, etc. I don't know when that will be.

Hi,

I'm suddenly getting a lot of "Plugin Defective" errors (and some "Content Offline" errors too) when downloading some, but not all Youtube channels and playlists.

The channels and playlists in question actually still exist and are publicly accessible, but JDownloader cannot find them.

Only noticed it on October 12th, don't know how long it's been like that. I am pretty sure it was fine... a few weeks ago, I think? Some time after the "core update" anyway.

And yes, I've updated to the latest October 16th release, it didn't fix the issue.

Examples that do not work:

Only some channels and playlists are affected, not all, don't know what makes them different from each other.


I'm honestly more than a bit surprised no one else has posted about this in this thread, unless I've simply missed it?

Either that or this is not the primary place where errors of this nature are reported?

Or is this bug only happening to me? If so, what could be the cause for it?

Even that one failing link is working fine in the other format ("@<Username>/videos").

You probably got blocked or rate limited by Google.
