Under MacOSX 1057 PPC with last version of Java (JavaForMacOSX10.5Update4), JD 0.6.193 is a resource hog: it grabs both processors on a G5 and taxes them to 100%. The Mac becomes totally unusable.

Disabling window decoration and effects has... well, no efects.

Java version 1.5.0. Last security update applied.

4 chunks 4 downloads.

The high CPU usage begins few seconds after the download begins.

The previous version had no problems, but I had not installed yet the security update.

I have the same issue with 0.6.193 on Linux system. After downloading starts a few seconds, the CPU usage becomes very high.
