Linkgrabber stopped working with IE9
I previously had problems with the linkgrabber stealing focus and showing me everytime a new download link was added. I got help to change that.
Sometimes JD 2 added some other garbage files to the linkgrabber. I tried to add a filter to prevent this, unsuccessfully. Now it seems that the LinkGrabber doesn't work at all. In my browser i copy a link to the clipboard but it isn't showing up in the LinkGrabber tab. Probably some Advanced setting is wrong I just don't know which. I am weary about the Advanced settings since they are not explained. I suggest replacing the advanced settings with several regular settings pages where they could be better explained or releasing a FAQ where they are all explained in detail. many advanced options have a tooltip description.
However. Advanced settings panel is called advanced, because it contains advanced options for advanced users. I guess that you set up a filter that filters everything, or you disabled clipboard observer in the main toolbar

Clipborad observer is enabled/link filters disabled
The Clipbord observer is enabled and linkgrabber filters is disabled and it still doesn't work.

Another Test
I did another test:
I have both JD 0.9 and JD 2 installed and running. When i copy a link in IE 9 it is grabbed by JD 0.9 and ends up on the linkgrabber tab in JD 0.9. In JD 0.9 I right clicked and selected Copy URL. It seems that JD 2 won't catch the link when it comes from IE9 but it does when It comes from somewhere else (JD 0.9) the link is catched. When I compare the contents of the clipboard I get the following From JD: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** From IE9: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** Could this affect JD in some way? |

linkgrabber and that link works fine here. we listen to the least amount of the url as possible, in this case _**External links are only visible to Support Staff**
something in your jd prevents it from working. maybe try to nuke your cfg folder (make a backup of your links by creating a dlc file). You will loose all settings including your download list. then run update.jar and then reimport the dlc

Linkgrabber not working as before
I have the same problem also. IE9 copy shortcut does not cchange focus of Jdownloader to linkgrabber, but the info is available if I click on "Add Downloads", selecting multiple links only the last one is available. I tried deleting cfg as recomended with no difference. Did a complete uninstall and reinstall no difference. No changes to advance settings have been made.
Last week everything worked as normal, copy shortcut would trigger jdownloader to steal focus and link would be there in linkgrabber. Now I have to go through an extra steps of swithching to jdownloader, selecting linkgrabber, then finally clicking on the add downloads, then go through the analyse link, and then it shows up on the linkgrabber page, then add add to download list. Something has changed, way to many steps, can not add multiple downloads easily, have to go through the above for each and every link. |

Just to update you folks, I just installed chrome and everything works as it did before. I will be busy with out of town guests arriving today but will contact you early next week for a team viewer session.
Thanks for your effort so far, I know it must be hard, impossible, to figure out when your set ups don't behave as mine. We will figure this out together, as soon as we both have a little free time. In the mean time keep up the good work, and enjoy the rest of the week and week-end. Thanks ezebob2 |

I have Windows 7 x64 IE9 JD 2 beta and checked for updates and none where found.
When I right click on a link in IE9 and select "copy shortcut" nothing is catched by the linkgrabber. I paste the link in notepad and copy the link from notepad it is catched by the linkgrabber. For me the problem is NOT solved. When the log function rewrite is complete I suggest implementing a switch that turns on/off extended logging of the Clipboard observer. When logging is enabled everytime the clipboard observer finds something in the clipboard the contents of the clipboard should be added to the log something like this: Clipboard Observer found: "**External links are only visible to Support Staff** Found to be a valid download link and will be added to the linkgrabber. Clipboard Observer found: "Copenhagen" Found not to be a valid download link, will not be added to the linkgrabber. also add any other information that may be relevant. |

please let's do a teamviewer session. the workaround I added for IE9 likeing up the clipboard worked on our testcomputer fine and also other reports it works fine. So it must have to do with the link you try to copy.
