Default Two Questions

  1. How do you turn off the setting that downloads every item into its own separate subfolder?
  1. Is there an actual user manual for JDownloader? Or at least a getting started section? Most of the information here is very technical.

Thanks!

Oh yes:

Is there a method to have JDownloader append sequential numbers to the beginning of a set of filenames?

Default Dynamic Variables

I'm not sure where to look for the Dynamic Variables mentioned in the discussion. Could you give a more detailed explanation on setting up this feature?

Thanks!

Hi,
you will find some help articles here:
https://support.jdownloader.org/

There is no complete "Getting started" guide as it completely depends on what you want to download and which accounts you might own.

Feel free to request more help articles

dyamnic variables can be use can be used inside saveto field or other fields which have listeners in which you want to change something like filename for instance. you can also right click and see dynamic tag heading.

Thank you. That's a help. I can see Packagename and date and time in the save as field.
How do I use <jd:indexof> to add index names to the file name?

Only some placeholders are available in the right-click context menu. Rest of them have to be typed in manually.

Note: The numeric index is dynamic (It will be updated automatically when you add/remove files from the package).
