Default shared memory state

I saw some option "shared memory state".
What's this option? Does it work? How much memory does it save?

another question:
"The dowload system is out memory" means I have to decrease download buffer size? Or that I need to restart JD once in a while?
It's running now as /share/CACHEDEV2_DATA/.qpkg/JRE_ARM/jre/bin/java -XX:+UseParNewGC -XX:MaxHeapFreeRatio=0 -XX:MinHeapFreeRatio=0 -Xms2M -Xmx150M -Xmaxf0 -Djava.awt.headless=true -jar JDownloader.jar -forceupdate
