Default Folder Download Exclusions

You have already created a Folder Watch process where you can drop links and JD will automatically load them.

I need the inverse. I need to be able to set a folder and say don't download anything files that have names like these existing files. I often find myself redownloading the same file from another source which I may have downloaded days ago. I do already use the filters to prevent loading things already in the download list but those are exact matches to names. Most of the files I deal with are split and therefore one person's name is different usually at the end due to some loose standards that most people follow.

I want to avoid downloading:
a_file.wmv.part1.rar
a_file.wmv.part2.rar
...

because in the directory(s) I supply there's a filename:
a_file.*
it's really the filename and NOT the extension that I would like to use as an exclusion.

Thanks for all you do!

Why not setup a filter in Settings-Linkgrabber Filter?

You can use equals, contains and either use simple wildcard * or full power of regex (enable the checkbox)

An alternative would be to use the eventscipter and write script that checks in other folders or some kind of text file if you already downloaded the file and want to skip it. You may ask mgpai for help with the eventscripter.
