I'l try to also fix the 25 minutes. Already testing a 20 second offset. Maybe that helps. I hadn't noticed this issue before. You say "working once again for free user". Does this mean it is not working for registered user? If so, I can only fix this if I have a account for testing.

P.S. I'm the one who did previous fixes :-)

Yea just noticed myself so as of this post, the last fix did not last long what maybe another 36 hours of usable time for free users?

their still screwing around there ....

I guess they really wish to loose business when people who tend to use them figure out their clients may not be able to get files easily.

Log file report:
http://jdownloader.org/pastebin/17564

@ sdi I have no idea about premium users as I really try to avoid them as much as possible and refuse to pay them for any type of premium account as their business model is really waked out not to mention their support. At the moment though I do have a large list I have been trying to get for what some 4+ weeks now that should have been done at least three weeks ago with any other decent hosting provider.

I'm on mac with os x also btw and everything is fine with this host and current update less the delay time between multiple files as of this post.
Can someone advise how to get the updates? (Did I miss a post - or worse,a whole thread - somewhere explaining this?) In JD, I click the Settings tab, and Click the Update link. I'm taken to this link which always says "We could not find anything for Update".

I am using JDownloader -xmas- version 0.9.580 on Win 7 x64. Thanks.

Thumbs down Yep...

There is already a problem. As long as I don't do any reconnections between 2 dls, the plugin works perfectly. But if I reconnect between 2 dls, the plugin is suddenly out of date. So I have to dl from the browser at least 1 file and the plugin works again in JD for the next file.

FS is amazingly and definitely strange.

If you are having trouble and are using Wn 7 64 bit, please install Java 6u21 32 bit (java.sun.com/products/archive). The 64 bit Java and the latest release both seem to have some bugs.

Please restart your computer and read General Discussion -> Self Help Guide -> Required patches. This contains a patch to Wn version 6.x (Vista and "7") that fixes 3 bugs that break many Java programs and almost all security software. Make sure to install the patch appropriate for your processor and OS version (there are six different patches - MS does not want to make these problems easy to fix or to find.

After installing the patch, restart your computer and run at least a basic virus scan on your computer.

I just wanna add to the discussion that lately I got a bug which I thought was Jdownloader related but was NOT

It was filesonic itself. Going into the webbrowser showed that downloads never went beyond the "1 minute wait" stage

Just saying so that you guys may think about double or triple checking that outside of jdownloader, the link works ...

Default A reminder about properly reporting a problem

1) State your problem in detail or state how to find the description. "I have the same problem" is bad, because when threads are merged, you could be saying you have an entirely different problem than you think you do.

2) It is essential that you upload or attach the entire log when you submit a problem report like this. Even if you include a small scrap (as you have), we need to see what came before. Include your sample URI's (below) in the session for which you are providing a Log.

2a) If you think that the normal log is not enough information, please follow the instructions in General Discussion -> Self Help Index -> Posting an Emergency Log.

3) We also need URI's (links as you copy them). We prefer 3-10 unrelated URI's that work in a browser, but cause a problem in JDownloader.

4) Does this happen with the same link if it is the first link downloaded in a session?

5) How have you set Max.Con.?

6) What other programs are running at the same time (including antivirus and firewall and versions of the programs)?

7) Never say you have the latest version of anything. State the actual version. For example, Host Plugin versions show on the Hosts table in the settings. The JDownloader version shows in the Help (or ?) -> About box. The Java version can be determined by opening a command line (or Command box or Terminal) and entering "Java -version". The OS version (Windows 6.1 sp1 is Windows "7" sp1) - For Windows, look at the properties of My Computer.

Until the next update, here is a little trick I already gave days ago:

'I just found a little trick to wait until the plugin is updated (for those who can't wait ): You open the link in your browser, you enter the captcha in your browser and then you do the dl in JD. And here you go, since JD can't recall the captcha from FS, you have to 'force' it.
Hope this can help some of you.'

@Placebo
Thank you!
I tested do like you explained and your "little trick" worked pretty fine here!
Just i have a suggestion for who will do this procedure: Before open the Filesonic link in the browser, i recomend that you disable it on JD. And only after that you enter the captcha by browser, you reactive it on JD.
And the dowload will work in JD without risk of display the message that you can't download two files at the same time (for free users).

Yes while this is a temporary solution and works for a while at a time, it is not a total solution.

Essentially there is still something broken within the JD plugin. Something is either not timing out right or something is not allowing for the reset/wait between clearing the sites cache so to speak between the wait times for free users as the actual web site does.

I have no idea of course re any premium account.

I'm sure someone will work it out when they can ... it is just frustrating as it seems like one of their staff is here watching and purposely trying to screw it up when JD gets a fix in place ...

Well for me a patch works a whole week until next release is out. It seems a pretty high coincidence that it always breaks short after next JD release. Not releasing fixes would be much less work for me :-)

Actually I don't understand why they do this. Downloading maximum 2 files an hour should be enough to distinguish Premium and Free. Why preventing use of JDownloader also?

I updated JDownloader and I don't get the "plugin out of date" error anymore. But I still can't download. After the 59 seconds wait... nothing happens! I dont't get any captcha image, the "status" field is empty, the next filesonic download in queue doesn't start.

Yeah I've got the same problem with FS AND HOTFILE. After the update of today, the captcha doesn't pop up anymore after the 1 min countdown. Even the log doesn't show any try of download, as if JD didn't even know there were FS and Hotfile links in the queue.

Yep, i confirm that both Filesonic and Hotfile do nothing after the timer stops, just blank and no download,
all other hosts i use work perfectly.
Anyway, i can't believe the bad luck these past 2 weeks, it's unreal.

Agreed with both not working now with last update downloaded around 30 minutes ago.

maybe they will fix something as
Quote:
Site will be under maintenance for approximately 60 minutes
Of course that is probably not true about their down time ... it usually takes longer than they say from what I have seen in the past.

Edit: Ok their maintenance seems to be done, they did not fix anything, so JD is still non usable atm

I'm currently downloading from FSo and I've already downloaded a few files in a few hours. Maybe it's because I used the trick with the first captcha in my browser.

Why are the Updates not published instantly? The time the Update gets to the Users, it will be broken again...:outch:
Sorry, but i don't see why we have to wait so long every time!

Yes it works now for one file at a time but not as it did earlier either with multiple files in the que.

After the first file is completed it either sticks at connecting or the next one goes blank period. One has to stop JD, go to website, connect and enter in the captcha then one has to restart the JD connection ... and I mean at least for me I have to completely stop all of jd downloads and then restart all for the one filesonic file to connect and download after the web site gives me the "Start your Download" message"

Not much fun.....

:thumbup: current patch looks like it is is working again!

Thanks

If it breaks again or is incomplete in next file selection and dl I'll post again of course.

Previous problems up until today please check updates! and grab!

Edit after second file in row works! es we have to wait time wise and yes we have to manually enter the captcha but it is working again as before if I remember correctly.

Thanks again.

After latest JD update, first Filesonic download worked fine. Changed IP and then next Filesonic download failed with "Plugin error (out of date)" notice.

So there are still problems, clearly...

This is due to the fact that the devs need to sleep as well. They also have other duties like studying.

The plug-in updates are bundled before they are released.

Then why bundling the things? The JDownloader structure is modular, it should be no problem to make a single update (5Kb?) for only one hoster.

Well, its not working again. I just sent an email to FileSonic about their "service". I will not be renewing my subscription. I suggest everyone does the same.
