yes filesonic may be have some problem since 10-12 hours ago,
so I turned off the PC.
1.5 hour ago I started again and it works fine now.

However, I have another unrelated problem

I have a download batch contains 5 *.rar parts
1 of them stopped donwnloading at 80% finnished
the rest is already completed
when I press "resume (1)" it says "File not found"
but
when I checked to the link source,
the JDownloaders Linkgrabbers status said all parts is
online>Already on Download List(the stoped part is included there)

I could understand for another batch where the link source is deleted
furthermore, the Linkgrabber will said all parts is offline

but this is different
is anyone could explain why is this happening?

Your post doesn't contain all the information we need.
Helping you is easier for us if you read the rules before posting and follow them so we have all information we need to help.
Information which could be missing are for example: Log & Example Links (the links you tried to download with JD).

Hi

I'm based in the USA. Is anyone else getting very slow (<50 kB/s) download speeds from FileSonic? Oddly, sometimes it's really fast but mostly it seems to crawl by.

I've not seen this with other hosters like RapidShare or HotFile.

Thanks.

@buggsy: i guess you are on iwf filter list as you have same issue on filesonic and fileserve and both are filtered now.

also filesonic may have some overloaded servers (happens to me sometimes too)

Hi Jiaz,

Recently my downland has been messing up with saying aborted no permission to write to hdd. No settings has been changed or anything on my PC.

http://jdownloader.net:8081/pastebin/34854

I have continuously forced to resume and enable broken sessions so that's why it may look chaotic.

Default filesonic.com -Plugin defekt

Hallo,

ich bekomme bei allen filsonic.com-Downloads die Meldung "Plugin defekt". Ich habe keinen Account bei filesonic, lade dort also als Free User.
Das Laden direkt über den Download-Manager im Firefox4 funktioniert.
Andere Hoster funktionieren problemlos.

As I thought, added the exception to my firewall and still same rubbish messages. What was added lately? And how is filesonic so slow. Even slower than usual 80KB/s is dreadful.

Edit: Seems the writing problem has been (mainly) fixed since I reinstalled. Odd...

Hello guys.

Im having the "temporarily not available" error in Jdownloader for filesonic links for 2 days now.. It's getting in my nerves seriously!!!! The download seems to be starting, then all of a sudden it stops and i get this error, and the file only seems to be 12KB. however the link works fine in the browser. For the record, JD is updated, i restarted the PC twice, and the problem remains. :( Any ideas why it's happening? Please help! I can't download anything for 2 days. I'm attaching the LOG for the last try. Hope it helps!

I think jdownloader is seriously messed up at the minute with filesonic. Just will have to find an alternative until things are sorted out.

Always something crops up with jdownloader randomly

It seems that this is NOT jD problem.

Filesonic probably has serious problem with their indexes.
I've got links that in jD:
a) in jD - Link Grabber says they are "All online"
b) jD can't download them because "Failed cloning connection"

The same links in browser:
Browser start to download them, but it downloads 0 bytes (so it is the reason for "failed cloning connection" because jD can't download 0 bytes in N chunks)
Their (Filesonic) linkchecker says that they are "Not Available" (deleted or removed)

So if they are unavailable why browser tries to download them and it is not redirected to "file not found" info.

So my conclusion is they have serious problems with their internal file structure - the links are treated differently depends on where you check them (browser, FS linkchecker, jD Link Grabber, jD downloader) - the answer should be always the same.

Example link:
Spoiler:
hxxp://www.filesonic.com/file/512949824/Herman_Wouk_-_Wichry_Wojny,_Natalia_[AudioBook_PL].part1.rar

- no matter if Premium or not Premium - browser tries to download it, and the result is NULL file.

Last edited by editestowy; 12.04.2011 at 10:55. Reason: added example link, edited link, because "links are visible..." breaks incorrectly the link

I've narrowed down my problem of downloads stopping and getting the write permission error to filesonic at the moment doesn't seem to like more than one connection.

Testing it now and jDownloader works fine if i set the connections to 1. It's not a JD problem as the other download manager i use has the same problems.

I'm in the UK. It seems the limit is now 3 connections before i get the write permissions failure and downloads stop. Also the download speed is very slow at the moment.

Here is a log file with 4 connections enabled.

Wow, ok I had it on 5. I thought that was conservative. What connection are you on by any chance?

Ok, still doesn't work properly for me. I still get aborted.

Default FileSonic.com Connection Problem

The problem that frequently occur when downloading from filesonic.com is that JDownloader always having problem to connect to filesonic.com. It is frequently that JDownloader need to try to connect a few times before it is successfully connect to filesonic.com. I have tried to download link from web browser, everything connect smoothly, except Jdownloader.

the error in log can be caused by the iwf filterlist. i would suggest to stay with 1 connection and more parallel download if needed

@Yue_Hong

If you're a free loader, then set Max. Con. to 1, because they seem to have stopped the resume feature.

I think the IWF filter list is being used too much as a trump card now. The issues have primarily been sorted out.

I experienced the same problem now. Without resumable downloads Jdownloader will no longer be favourite to almost every one. Resumimg downloads is what people love about Jfownloader. So Plz someone , develop new plugins which could Bypass Filesonic's new update and allow us to download with resume.

This is a follow-up to what Jiaz wrote.

1) Read the Hoster-Plugins rules!

2) Changing Max. Con. probably will not help. Internally, JD always uses Max. Con.=1 except for premium accounts or MediaFire. In addition the FileSonic plugin was recently updated to reflect the change in the host's rules.

3) In the Self Help Index, read Choosing and installing security software. This will explain why Jiaz is asking about your antivirus and firewall.

4) Since you did not provide the information requested in the rules, I cannot tell you how to adjust your software so that JDownloader can work correctly. Please uninstall your security software (usually an antivirus and firewall). Clean the remnants as described in the article. Install the recommended software (all free for private use, but together they work as well as any package).

5) Let us know if this works. If it does not work, provide the information requested in the Hoster-Plugins rules.

I noticed the same problem that filesonic doesn't resume. But I've tried to download from filesonic using other program and all the files could be resumed. I think the problem is in updated plugin. Is there any opportunity to undo the changes and restore the old plugin?

Hey dude, can you share the download problem you use that could resume the damn downloading task process from Filesonic? Thanks in advance!
In fact , i have one idea, when start downloading file from Filesonic, stop do anything other that need to connect with the internet at the sametime (eg.the antivirus software auto update, use webbrower) ,or it will cause the download task ruined---i had suffed with it enough!
BTW,stupid Filesonic,if you wanted to be the NO1 online file hostage,so at least make sure we can download file from your site completely even without a specially download tool, just like Rapidshare or Megaupload or Hotfile etc .....
