Default JDownloader 2 for Linux ???

Considering that in the main page of downloading all JD 2 versions the Linux systems' links do not work, is there any other place to download JD 2 for Linux ?

I mean this web page:

http://jdownloader.org/download/offline

Thank you !

its a bash script, your not meant to open it in IE.

wget/curl/fetch the file directly to your linux box OR if you have to use IE right click and save as

Oh, I see

I was expecting an .exe file to download as occurs with the other versions even with Mac, although I'm on Windows.

Therefore if I understood well I need to be on Linux to get a normal .exe file, is that right ?

Please note that it's for a friend who's on Linux but I need to make sure it works fine before I send the link !

Thanks again !

not sure how you are going to make sure it works without linux system to test it on?

.sh files are bash script file. you execute them and they perform the task which is setout inside the script.

I think you misunderstood me !

I'm not asking if the .exe is going to work on a Linux system but if the link is going to provide an .exe to download on Linux.

As I said my OS is Windows 8 and I can download every other version of JD 2 (even Mac) as an .exe with just one click.

My question is if I send the Linux links to somebody having Linux as OS, is it going to download as an .exe or bash script ?

I mean are this sort of .sh files only for Linux systems to execute ?

If the answer is yes I can't see any reason why it's not going to work !

mac doesn't download exe, it will download dmg that's the package type,
our linux installers are bash scripts so sh
only windows installers are exe

I answered your last question in my previous response.
