enable parts - jscheduler?
Is it possible to enable parts? As I would like to start some downloads now which requires some parts disabled but then enabled before start downloads at a later time.

Not possible, use priorities to define which ones you want downloaded first, second, third, etc.

That won't fix the problem with traffic management on my ISP if I download too much. Then maybe it could be added? Seems like a fairly big deal to be able to enable all links

don't believe that will happen, the scheduler isn't included in JD2 at this point in time. It will come back after review, but unsure when that will take place. Creating scheduler rules for time is easy enough. I've used the scheduler extensively myself. Personally I leave all files/packages enabled and have rules for start stop marks (15mintues before off peak ends). Set global speed limit if you want to reduce the amount you download / hour.
Packages are too dynamic to use for any control method within scheduler.

I don't mean select particular packages, just do a global enable or disable of parts?

Then I don't understand why you cant do it already, start download and stop downloads globally it does exactly what you want to do without the need to play with parts. You have little to no need for part level as your OP stated. Disable auto start of downloads on adding to linkgrabber and your set.

Not entirely sure how you are going to do this. As I understand it it would be impracticable within our current interface to do what you describe. I'm still of the opinion to add downloads with package customiser rules with priorities, or manage priorities yourself. Let the scheduler start and stop dl activity. Along with connection settings that suite your needs, jd should manage itself within its current frame work
