Default Can I Set Last-Used Save Location as Default?

Hello,

I was playing around with settings - specifically seeing if I could set the last-used download location to be the default location for every new link added. So for example:

link 1 saved to c:\downloads

when I add link 2, it is set to the same as above. But if I change it to c:\downloads2

then adding link 3 should set the default to c:\downloads2.

The same behaviour as the browser has when you save a file - it prompts the last-saved location (if that's what you set).

Unfortunately I couldn't find a way to make this work so far even though there seems to be a setting in Advanced Settings called "LinkgrabberSettings: Use Last Download Destination As Default". It's set to true as default but no matter what the value is, it doesn't seem to work.

Thanks

It depends on how you add the links.
In GUI version JDownloader will choose the default download folder from Settings-General when you add via Clipboard/DragDrop...
When you add via Dialog(AddLinksDialog), the the dialog will use last downloadfolder that is selected/chosen via *Choose Dialog*

MyJDownloader webclient will always choose default folder by default at the moment

Ah okay I see. I always use drag and drop, so I guess that's still going to choose the global default folder set in settings.

Correct! Only AddLinks dialog will honor the "LinkgrabberSettings: Use Last Download Destination As Default"
