Archiving of completed links
Hi everybody,
Although using JDownloader for quite some time I am new to the board as an active member. My topic: I have a huge number of downloads in my download list. Most of them are already finished. Handling all those entries is slowing down JDownloader significantly. It improves a little bit if I disable finished downloads. The reason why I do not just delete them once they are finished is, that I want to keep the functionality to "mark" links as "already in download list" if I previously downloaded them. What I would like to have: Additional entry in context menue to "Send links to archive". This would remove the link from download (while keeping the files), and store it in an archive (preferably with data for "add date" and "download date"). This would also add an additional marking "already in archive" which I could use to filter added links. Hopefully this should make handling of a large number of "old" links much swoman as it only needs to be accessed while parsing new links,. It could be also implemented/configured to be triggered manually like "check all links against archive". Can you please point out if I overlooked a similar functionality? Anyone with a similar problem? Any suggestions for a workaround? Thanks for any input/help, CHR |

I recommend to keep an eye on
https://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=81885 At the moment there is no *out-of-the-box* support for history/archive, see Also you can increase available memory/heap for Java so more links are achievable. you can modify .vmoptions file and allow more memory (use board search) then yo should not notice large slowdown anymore
