close jd
go to jd folder and delete the jd folder in it then start jdupdate.jar then make sure you set a correct downloadfolder (rightclick on package and edit folder) also try with disabled nod32, i see strange errors in log

Please, disable the automatic reconnect feature in jD's toolbar. It might be interfering with the download process.
Please, provide some example links that you can't download with jD. If you can download those links in your browser, then something might be blocking jD. I recommend to :- 1) Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the html/web download scanner in your virus software. 2) Reduce the Max.Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1. Reset the affected links. |

Thnx..I mean to Reconnect was "Manual Reconnect"..I dont use the JD-REconnect option. Please, provide some example links that you can't download with jD.These Links are particularily Loaded in the web address of rslinks.com for e.g.(**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**) If you can download those links in your browser, then something might be blocking jD. I recommend to :- 1) Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the html/web download scanner in your virus software.Problem i mentioned in my Previous Post still persisted while disabled all you told 2) Reduce the Max.Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1. Reset the affected links.I did that too before posting my problem..but the prob still persisted. |

I've tried one of those shragle files and it downloads fine.
I propose to un-install the virus and reboot your computer. It's possible you need special removal software and registry cleaners to remove the virus. |

your firewall/av/proxy is causing this issue
many HTTP/1.1 502 Bad Gateway requests + timeouts

drbits claims to be a specialist but he isn't around at the moment. Maybe you can find his recommendations in the sticky posts of the forum. I've tried several of his recommendations (they changed often) in the past but none of them worked to my satisfaction (although I'm running the same OS version). I've given up trying them as they caused more harm than anything else. The last one I tried was M$'s solution but that just damaged a working program by removing a so called highly critical and dangerous virus. Of course, it had to be a false positive. I wasted a lot of time re-installing the damaged program. I've always used a safe browser without installing any extensions and disabled scripting as much as possible. I also know which types of websites and files can be dangerous. I know that Linux is a lot safer as well because of a much better design, but until my computer dies I guess I'll still be chained to the rubbish OS from Redmond. When I select new software it must be able to run on Linux. It'll make the transition easier. |
