Default Regex and large files = hang

What to do if regex cannot handle large text, because the application will work infinitely long. Eternal hang.

Regex Universal URL is valid, it WORKS "STANDARD" txt huge files.

But for really "heavy" files it is impossible.

I want to extract a URL from a text file containing a lot of Unicode, text, links etc.

File Size: 32 MB

35.000.000 chars

But the third application supports 2,000,000,000 characters.

I don't know how I can solve this problem.

Again nothing given - no log, no RegEx, no testlinks.

Default Regular Expressions: Catastrophic Backtracking (EDIT PREV POST)

I have corrected @pspzockerscene

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Regular Expressions: Catastrophic Backtracking

Universal URLs Regex (Perfect URls Match any URL!)

My regex:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

CRASH ANY APLICATION. The complexity of matching the regular expression exceeded predefined bounds. HOW TO refactoring the regular expression to make each choice made by the state machine unambiguous???

What is this supposed to pickup?

Example URLs and log are still missing!

I'am unable to tell you exactly how to optimize your RegEx but there are good test websites/applications out there:
regex101.com

Add the required information and try again ...

more importantly this is not JDownloader related query. We support JD and not your other application. We have also stated in the past we wont support regex queries, as we end up writting the pattern for you. When you can write and test in websites or applications thus saving us work and should allow you to learn at your pace vs giving you the answer.
