Hi

I need to get the referrer URL where I copied some links
since I don't know what those links are anymore..

Currently in my USER INTERFACE

Under the Download Link address display
It has referrer at the top so it should been working but not..

Referrer URL is only available in case you've added the Link via selection and CTRL+C (Copy). The required meta information is only available in browser when you copy links that way. When you do normal rightclick and copy URL/Link in browser, the meta information is not available.

You can see/check all known URLs via rightclick context menu, properties, show download urls and then double click into the url and JDownloader will show popup with all known urls

So referrer URL only gets added when I do selection and control-c?

And it won't work if I do a selection and right context menu > copy?

That's a bit weird that it only works with one method..

Can you make an update, so referrer URL metadata is saved with the link regardless of how you copied?

The problem is often the original referrer URL site
-hide the links behind a Download button
-or use a shortener link when display it in the browser e.g. **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

so only way is to right click that button or shorten and click copy
we would not be able to use Control-c in both cases

JDownloader has no influence on this. It depends on the browser to put that information into clipboard and the common browser (firefox, chrome, opera...) only does this in HTML/Selection mode. That means selecting something and then rightclick COPY and NOT COPY LINK/URL.
For example in firefox. When you rightclick on a link, there is *Copy Link* -> This does NOT add any additional meta info to clipboard.
Selecting the link with mouse will offer *Copy* and *Copy Link* in Clipboard. The first one adds the required meta information to clipboard.

DownloadButton or Shortener Link is no problem. Just select that Button or Link and do the copy to clipboard via selection.
If you want I can show you via Teamviewer, just contact us via support@jdownloader.org
