Rapidshare is back to no-limits, but JD goes 30KB/s
As in the title, you can download without 30KB/s limit and more files at once(however I had 8mbit/s speed when I was downloading 1 file, and only 4 mbit/s total when downloading 3). So I think it's the time to remove the limitation from JD.

Ignore the warning about speed limit.
JD downloads with full speed - I've just checked some example links and downloads were with full speed of my net conection. |

Is there a setting for Rapidshare (RS) that has been set to limit the download speed to 30 KB/s?
Like D4os, I can download from RS using Firefox at high speed but when I try the very same links in JD, the speed is limited to 30 KB/s. The progress bar and reported download speed in JD shows that the transfer is occurring at 30 KB/s. |

@D4oS, @weblurker
Please post the example links. Maybe the limit is for specific country or specific files. We can check if these files are slow or fast for us. |

The links I tried this morning had already been deleted by RS.
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** I found that random RS link on a blog site and tried it both in JD and in Firefox. On JD, that link transferred at 30 KB/s, according to the JD progress bar and the reported download speed. I verified the speed by starting a timer, waiting 2 minutes, and copying the partial file to another subdirectory. The copied file then displays the current file size, which was consistent with a 30 KB/s download speed. I stopped the JD transfer and tried the same RS link in Firefox. According to the speed reported by Firefox and after using the same timing test and copied file size test, the transfer really did occur at the full speed of my DSL link. So it looks like there might be something within JD that is causing the difference in transfer speed. |

For me it starts slow but then gets faster and faster.

I let JD run with that RS link for 10 minutes and the download speed was pegged at 30 KB/s the entire time. I did a manual web update in JD. The RS plug-in is version 18421. |

@psp:
I think the limit may be in old Stable. Tested Nightly and JD2 - no limits, Stable - 30 kbs. |
