Is it just me, or has Youtube found a way to not allow us to rip videos from there site? In the past it has been so easy, and seamless. Today when I really need it, it doesn't work. Now all you get is a jpeg and a doc file. Please tell me there is a work around for this??

This broke and was fixed over the weekend. Update JD. If you are up-to-date, you may just need to restart anyway. That's how it was for me.

Don't know exactly. Could it be that it's broken again? jDownloader responses with
"Ein Fehler ist aufgetreten" - "Plugin veraltet" ----- something like outdated Plugin? Is that the right translation?? |

Two examples:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** I can download almost any other YT video just fine, but those don't work for some reason. Why's that? EDIT: works fine after update. Last edited by Inspectah; 02.09.2018 at 09:52. |

Please make sure that your JDownloader is up2date. There has been an update about 2 weeks ago and in case you haven't updated/used JDownloader since then, then you have to update JDownloader first

Youtube released new obfuscated JS player. This needs to checked and plugins needs to be updated

This time and the last time this was fixed, JD would show no further updates needed yet still required a restart to begin working. I'm not sure how it works but if there's a way to flag changes as requiring a restart you should do it for the Youtube fixes.

@kdean:JDownloader informs about pending updates with blinking update button in toolbar by default. Maybe you have oversaw that or changed your settings?

That's not it. All updates were applied. I even clicked the update button just in case to make sure there were no new updates, but regardless the youtube videos wouldn't grab links correctly until I restarted anyway. Perhaps the plugin files are updated but the in memory versions are not being refreshed.
If there's an advanced setting that would affect whether restarts are needed, let me know. Whenever the update button blinks, clicking it always triggers a restart for me. In case it makes a difference, I'm running MacOS and Java 8. Maybe the plugin settings should show the currently loaded version number or date/time for each plugin so we can have something to check against. |

Thanks for the feedback. There are plugin updates that don't require a restart of JDownloader and can be installed/applied in background. But for the yt plugin, there was a core update required and I forgot to deploy a core update and that's why it didn't work in the first place. I realized that later (after I wrote that it is fixed). I guess that was causing the confusion.

Hello,
any clue why I cannot download this: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** JD, updated, says it's a host problem and size is unknown. Than you |

JD 2 is generally working fine for me with youtube videos. But this one has the 'sensitive content' entry warning, and though I can watch it via youtube, JD2 can only see the small document, image and holster files. Not the actual video.
I've tried all these links, with no luck: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** Last edited by Jiaz; 10.09.2018 at 12:47. |
