Dear Developers,

I wish to ask something.
I want to download youtube videos in the following file naming rule:
*videoname* (*quality*) [*channelname*].*ext*

This applies to videos, but not to the corresponding thumbnail pictures. Is there a way to do it?
If this is not possible, would you please add this feature?

When I try to make file filtering per channel name, this will be very helpful.

I wanted to download a Youtube video and get an error "ffmpeg is missing" and the option to download and install ffmpeg or cancel. No other option.

I DO have ffmpeg installed, but there is no option to tell JD where it is.
No option to just download the video and audio and let me mux it myself, which I could do easily.

JD never needed ffmpeg before to download Youtube to mp4 or flv, so why does it need it now?

OK, so I found the setting "FFmpegSetup: Binary Path".
I got it working.
JD should let you tell it this setting though without having to hunt through the "advanced" settings.

Every graphic program wants ffmpeg and I'm tired of them just going ahead and installing their own version
instead of telling me what they need and asking where it is.

manual remuxing/demuxing with ffmpeg takes too long time and no unicode character support.I have ffmpeg-gui programs.but still failed.

mp42 problem not solved.but changed parameter "mp4" with "ipod" and now I have apple compatible audio and video files(M4V(.mp4),M4A(.m4a)).for mp42 I will contact ffmpeg's developers

Is there a new way to convert Youtube videos to MP3. I no longer see the .tmp files. The only options I get are 3GP, FLV, MP4, and Webm.

the oldest jdownloader was enable to download mp3 from youtube now dont have it possibility , is necessary to download another program to do that now ? so why u remove that source from the program jdownload . if has in anothers programs ?:confused:

if youtube doesn't provide the old formats (flv), which the mp3 converter used we can not provide it within old 0.9 or NIGHTLY.

JD2 has audio conversion, I would recommend using this version as if the formats are only provided in DASH, this version is required. Please configure JD2 to return audio streams.

Jdownloader is not picking up MP3 format from youtube, I already checked host settings and mp3 option is checked, I tried from a different computer and same problem, It does pick up video formats but NOT mp3 or tmp.
