make a backup,
- I would recommend deleting core.jar and starting jdownloader.jar.
- if that doesn't fix the issue, I would grab a new installer and reinstall, then copy out of your backup your cfg/*.zip from to new install and start a fresh.

I'm about to installed fresh installed from JDownloader, is there any suggestion what options its closer to work with Windows 7 x64, please?

think by default the pre-installer (web installer), will detect your OS and choose 64 over 32.

there are two links in the faq http://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=37365 but as stated web installer for windows will auto choose 64bit installer for your OS.

a2)
installers can come with optional adware. The second link in a1) contains adware free installers. You mustn't have unselected the option. We do have thread on adware in installers if you would like to take it up there, search 'installers can contain adware'

While trying to download from youtube a classic concert, I got two different messages.
The not-much-loved JD2 shows me 3 files (mp4, m4a and jpg). After selecting m4a the message I get is that in order to combine the music files it needs a missing component called ffmpeg

it start downloading the component and eventually it stops (at 18%). After a while pop up a message asking if my net is ok and "server not available right now"

My beloved classic JD works fine but the files available are five: 3gp/flv/mp4/webm/mp4 at different res (144-720p).

I don't know if you did it on spot, but in the last 5 minutes I got an update and now both the ffmpeg and the download issue seem to be fixed

the dwnl somehow fails. I got an error message at the end of the dwnload. The files are apparently properly sized but in an useless format ("xxxxxxxxxxxnull_DASH_AUDIO_128K_AAC.dashAudio")
