Found this thread about using some scripts, but seems that the option is not built-in in JDownloader itself.

This has been on the Feature Request list for a few months. I have convinced some people to produce these external notifiers in the meantime. I have not seen any reports of problems with these notifiers, but make sure to use a virus scan before installation.

Default Sound on captcha popup

Gentlemen,

I see that this has been discussed in the past, so let's say this is a reminder : JDownloader is an awesome unattended tool - I'll just go directly to the web page if I want attended downloads.

So it seems to me a sound on captcha pop up is vital.

It's too easy to miss a tiny captcha window with several applications open.

That is the one feature I miss most in JDownloader.

Discussed a lot of time. For a quick solution look here.

Wait further releases. This will be possible with the eventmanager once it's back (boardsearch).

Please be aware that the quick external solutions are not part of JDownloader or distributed with JDownloader. It might be a while before such features are added to JDownloader, as there are several difficult high priority items on the roadmap that will probably be implemented first.

The Event Manager will be a very powerful tool. It could even replace most of the internal logic of JDownloader, but users should not do that. I hope it will come with examples for the most desired actions.

Please, read "Captcha Sound Alert for JDownloader". It contains several solutions for Windoze and Linux.

You can also try the anti-reCaptcha solution discussed in the "reCaptcha [International]" thread.

Cool

@sarkof

Please read "Captcha Alert : a simple tool solution".

If you run another OS, there are solutions in the thread I referred to in my post #86.

Lightbulb Play a sound when the captcha windows is opened

Hello,

I think that I good improvment will be to add the possibility to play a sound when the windows captcha is opened.

When you are not at the computer, we will have a signal to call us.

What do you think about this improvement ?

Regards

Bob99fr

NB : Sorry for my bad english.

Please try the Captcha Alert referred to in my previous post. It works fine and can be used for other types of alert windows as well.

Several other temporary solutions have been proposed.

If you leave your computer it's better to disable the hosts with captchas, because there is no "I'm away" button yet.

Note that I don't entirely understand your last post. Can you please provide it in your native language?

It's a pitty that the jd developers are not able to add a solution to jd for this since march '10 [...]

maybe there is a big deal with hosters to do not??

If you're talking about the captchas, please read the :-

- captcha and the

- reCaptcha [International]

threads. They contain several attempts of the jD Team and external developers to counter captchas.

At the moment there should be at least one solution that solves all your captchas automatically. Please try the "addon for decaptcher.com service".

If you want to continue the discussion, please, select one of the mentioned threads, because here we discuss the captcha alert issues.

Default Akustische Signale

Why do you need to know when a download starts? You can know when a download will be finished by looking at the ETA in the Status column.

There already are several captcha alert solutions.

I need sound alert when captcha popup appear, because I am not all the time by the computer. I think that this option (AntiCaptcha - sound alert: enable/disable) would be very usefull.
Thank you.
Best regards!

@Laurin

I think you should consider changing the max downloads and max connections to be max connections per site because when you have subscriptions with non-subscriptions you can't get throughput on the non-subscriptions but they will eat up all your connections and you get no good throughput.

You might be able to adjust one of the programs in the (captcha sound) messages to search for the JD notifications instead of the Captcha windows.

Default Audible Captcha alert

Hi,
would it be possible to add a possibility of an alert sound when the captcha window opens ?
I am often doing other things while the comp is downloading so it would be nice to get alerted even if I am not in the room.

Thanks
Tomas

Please, read "Captcha Sound Alert for JDownloader". It contains several solutions for different platforms.

For Windoze the easiest solution is "Captcha Alert : a simple tool solution.".

Default Ton ausgeben vor Captcha?

Hi,

Danke.
