Default Issue with Wait time detected

Sometimes I will get "Wait time detected!" so I will turn on my VPN and change my ip. I will still get wait time detected. So I try to stop downloads, as well as reset the file but I sitll get wait time detected. Only after I fully shut down and restart jdownloader does it let me download the file. Is there any way to fix this without restarting jdownloader?

wait time detected could be pre-download slot, or post download <> pre download wait as in you've downloaded previously. the latter can IP reset assuming you can setup a script todo this for you (as you're using VPN).

else manually you can select from right click context, resume/reset (this will loose data)/or even force and it should retry.

I manually turn on my VPN to change my IP which is okay. I have tried to reset\resume\force but it still says that I need to wait until I can resume the download as my free time has been used. If I fully close jdownloader and re-open it I can magically download again. I'm unsure why a restart of jdownloader prompts it to start working and a reser\force does not work.

Since JD isn't in control of IP reset, it doesn't know IP has changed. If it was in control it would determine IP has changed and a new download is started. Is it possible to change your VPN end point IP via script or CLI ?

JDownloader does not know that you changed your IP externally
