Default Asign priority to specific file hosts when using multiup.org?

Is there a way to for example tell JD2 to first try to download from file host X and then try others?

Not sure what it uses at the moment to figure out what file host to download from first (alphabetically perhaps?) but if there is a way to prioritize one host over others that would be very useful.

EDIT:
I understand there is a way to manually prioritize files once in link grabber or in the Downloads window, but is there a way to set JD2 so it always prioritizes a file host over others?

believe that they are sorted on name primary, but secondary sorting based on entry into linkgrabber so this creates randomness, but faster networks either via api calls (mass linkchecking vs individual) could be preferred.

settings > package customiser > create rule && define:
sourceurl contains multiup.org
downloadurl contains hoster-domainname
priority you define.

you will need one rule for each host if you want them all to have different priorities.
you can pair based on regular expressions for example downloadurl contains (host1\.com|host2\.com) and click the regex checkbox on the right, if you want them to share priority.

Thanks raztoki

I added the rules but there is an issue. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong.

I can see the priorities being applied in the Linkgrabber window when I add Multiup.org URLS, so I know the rules in Packagizer are working.
However when I click on "start all downloads" the priorities do not transfer over to the Download window, so they download "randomly".

Am I missing something?

That is most likely not true.
Keep in mind that JD cannot and will not go only by those priorities.

If you e.g. set the highest priority to a filehoster which only allows 1 simultaneous downloads but you allow JD to start 10 simultaneous downloads, other mirrors will be used too.

Possible solutions:
- Limit max. simultaneous downloads to 1
- and/or: Instead of assigning priorities, use rules to disable the un-preferred mirrors completely so JD will skip them entirely. Disadvantage of this: JD will not try disabled links until you enable them again by hand

@pspzockerscene

Thanks pspzockerscene. You're absolutely right. I had it set at 4 simultaneous downloads. Makes sense now.

I did think about disabling un-preferred mirrors, however, when using multiup not all parts/files are always available on my preferred mirrors so I still need them as a backup hoster unfortunately.

No worries.
Just saying JD does not work from first to last item it is constantly checking on the fly "which download to start next".
