Default Mode unattended new installer

Hi, i have seen Jdownloader has a new installer and i want to install it unattended. i have seen in the options there is command -varfile "file" to use it.

The Installer currently does not support unattended Installation. What exactly do you need, and why? Perhaps I can help by creating an etxra installer that fits your needs.

Because i have made an unattended windows 7 with all the programs unattended/silent also. so i want to make an unattended install for jdownloader to include it. with the previous installer, it supported the command /S to do it silently but in the new installer i have seen in executing jdownloadersetup -h that it supports -q (unattended mode), also it supports -varfile "response.file". What i want is to create a response file to install it silently with a progress bar, if you can help me, i thank you a lot and thanks anyway for your reply.

Installer variables can be passed to the installer or uninstaller from the command line prefixed with -V (for example -VmyVar=test). Alternatively, you can specify a property file containing installer variables with -varfile (for example -varfile myfile.prop).

A typical Responsefile might contain:

Quote:
sys.fileAssociation.launchers$StringArray="26","26","26","26","26"
sys.languageId=en
customTab$Boolean=false
customBasic$Boolean=true
sys.installationDir=C\:\\Program Files\\test
customSearch$Boolean=false
customHomepage$Boolean=true
executeLauncherAction$Boolean=false
sys.fileAssociation.extensions$StringArray="dlc","jdc","ccf","rsdf","metalink"
installFM=skip

I have copied the responsefile and renamed it response.txt, and i have executed:
SetupJDownloader.exe -q -varfile response.txt -splash JDownloaderSetup
I have put -splash to see the progress bar, it has worked well but the only problem, it does not create the desktop icon.

The installer does not create a desktop link.
I can create an installer that does this. Any other wishes?

Hi
i've tried to use response.txt and command line to have a silent install and everything works fine but i've also installed facemoods toolbar even if in response.txt i can see installFM=skip...

There's a way not to have toolbar installed?

Thanks

installFM=skip should do the job.

However:
I can create an extra installer for you if you like (without facemoods)

I have a question regarding the setting of jdownloader. Like i install it silently, i would like to put in setting of the directory of downloads: "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\Downloads" instead of "C:\Users\TeAm\Desktop\Downloads" because some times the program was installed in the disk D, but did not work, ALSO as i create the folder "Downloads" for each user, which command i have to write in the settings in order to download automatically to that folder?
Thanks

I doubt that this is possible with the ucrrent stable version.

New JD2 will come soon - and together with this new version many new possibilities
