[Solved] Vimeo.com protected videos don't resolve anymore

Hello. I do not know when they implemented changes again but it must be very recently.

I am a member in a website where they host their videos on Vimeo. Any video is behind a frame, and i've modified a chrome plug-in to right click on the video and get the url and embed the referrer in one click so LinkGrabber can start doing its work. ( https://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=88021 )

But the plug-in doesn't find the actual video files anymore.
I get nothing, not even the subs.

I know the referrer is still valid as if i enter manually a wrong referrer i get a "Content offline" error.

I am able to get the mp4 file through chrome inspector and download it manually using jdownloader but you need to fix the plug in.

As a temp workaround i found yt-dlp works flawlessly (remove if not allowed)

Hi there.
I tried to download some videos from webpianoteacher.com .
It is a login required site, where the guy provides all the "Part1" videos for free (you can also find them on his YouTube profile) but if you want to watch the other Parts you need to pay a membership subscription. The other Parts are uploaded on Vimeo but you cannot actually download them, they are protected and they are appearing only embedded on his website pages.
I loaded this website on jdownloader (where I added my login credentials for this website), but the program finds only the YouTube videos. Is there any way to download the "Vimeos" too?

I doubt that you've added an account for this website to JDownloader as we do not support that one.

If you want us to investigate this, please send us your "webpianoteacher.com" login credentials to support@jdownloader.org.
If JDownloader can't "see" those embedded vimeo videos that is most likely because JD is not logged in.
You can try the following:
1. Open the webpianoteacher.com website in a logged-in state in your browser and access a video of your choice.
2. Press CTRL + U to view the html code in your browser.
3. Make sure that JD clipboard observation is enabled, highlight all of the html code with CTRL + A and copy it with CTRL + C.
JD might now find the vimeo videos.

It's unlikely that you'll be able to download the Vimeo videos as they're likely protected by DRM. You may want to reach out to the website owner and see if they have any options for downloading the videos legally.
